Conveyor system for sorting of coins

The goal of this thesis is to document the current state of a coin sorting line and to propose improvements, which would save floorspace. The proposed new arrangement is to be documented and a 3D model of it is to be created. The documentation of the new arrangement encompasses set conditions and new requirements as given by the Czech National Bank. Finally, a draft request for tender for new equipment is to be created, while keeping technological continuity in mind.

Design of mobile chipper

The Bachelor thesis deals with the structural design of a mobile chipper that uses mass-produced compact tractors VARI as its energy sources. This Bachelor thesis is divided into four main chapters: a description of the basic technology used for processing natural materials that is characteristic of this type of equipment, the current state of structural details of compact tractors VARI and their equipment, a detailed study of technical aspects of the compact tractor providing the power, various drafts of possible solutions with a presentation of a functional home-made prototype, and a detailed description of the final version of the design. The thesis also includes an approximate calculation of the maximal possible diameter of the processed material and a technical drawing.

Scissors for metal waste

This thesis is focused on the innovation of already made hydraulic shears which are primarily used for cutting metal waste to a prescribed size. The aim is therefore to solve the problem of the bending of the shearing arm, the optimization of the number of cycles and thus increasing the efficiency of the shears. Part of the thesis will be also dedicated to energy savings. The secondary purpose is to familiarise the reader with the material cutting process using the shears – equipment used for cutting scrap metal, partial production of metal alloys, and to highlight the importance of metal recycling. The thesis includes a drawing of the assembly of the hydraulic shears.

Measurement of Deflection of Filtration Fabric

This bachelor thesis deals with measurements of deflection of filter fabrics of rotating disc filters segment. The main goal is established dependence of deflection of filter fabrics of the pressure at different preload. First part reviews different types of filter devices and their functions. Main focus is on rotation filter discs and their rotation parts. In the next part different filter fabrics are described, different ways of their production and examination of some of their characteristics. The measurements of deflection of fabrics are documented as well as used methodology. In the final part the data obtained from the measurements are evaluated and possible application in manufacture is discussed.

Residential Minicaravan

The aim of this bachelor thesis is the design and construction of a small habitable caravan for two people. It is designed to be used exclusively in summer months. Thanks to the design and manufacturing, the caravan should offer sufficient comfort for short trips. The caravan has adequate sleeping space for two people, storage space and a kitchen with basic appliances. The gross-caravan weight mustn’t exceed 750 kg, so that a person with a driving license type “B” can operate it. The caravan frame is made of steel and wooden profile, the outer layer is made of aluminium sheet and the inner cladding of plywood. The whole frame is installed on a serial made chassis of the ALUX-27 trailers from Agados. The thesis will contain a possible construction design, draft and drawings.

Design of Welding and Testing Tools for Pressure Vessels

Bachelor’s thesis is focused on design of welding and testing jigs for pressure vessels. The aim of this project is to create simple design. The design must ensure easy installation in case some of the correction of the report. Thesis includes design examples for other types of vessels, structural design solutions for the specified vessels, drawings, procedure of welding and testing in these jigs.

Description and Evaluation of Fastener Torque Characteristics of Screw Connection

This bachelor’s thesis deals with the description and evaluation of the torque characteristics of screw connection in plastic parts in headlight. The evaluation was compared with the same screws from three different suppliers. Compered was the course of torque when screwing. The work also includes analysis of the current state of knowledge in the use of plastics in the automotive industry and joining plastic parts. There is more emphasis on shaping joining screws.

Milling Machine for Machining of Plastics

Bachelor thesis deals with the structural design of the longitudinal and transverse feed for the milling of embedded hollow fibers of fixed size used in heat exchangers and the design of these components during milling. The work contains a brief description of the routing, basic milling division and a brief overview of the kinds of lines that are use for machine tools. It als presents an overview of fastenings for easy and quick clamping of milling, individual design variations and optimal solution. The works also includes the drawing of the components and complete set. The results of the Bachelor thesis are used for the Laboratory heat transfer and flow at University of Technology, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

Friction and air feeders for paper sheets

The thesis is focused on summarizing the evidence on the issue of paper sheets feeding at the final processing of documents. The thesis includes dividing of paper feeders, their characterization, and description of friction and air feeders, which are most widespread. As a model for the description methods of sheets feeding were used machinery CFM 700 and GPM 540A of Cyklos company. The thesis also compares friction and air feeding from the constructional point of view. The conclusion focuses on the new methods in the paper feeding in future.
