Calculation of the probability of the ceramic component failure according to the Weibull’s weakest link theory
Kučerková, Miroslava ; Fuis, Vladimír (referee) ; Kovář, Jaroslav (advisor)
Weibull weakest link theory is used to determine the probability of failure of ceramic components. This bachelor thesis examines the cylindrical body, beams and rotating circular and intercircular disc. In these bodies it is possible to identify course of the stress in an analytical way. The research part of the work approaches ceramic materials in terms of their structure, composition, method of production or mechanical properties. From a theoretical point of view, Weibull weakest link theory for uniaxial and triaxial stress in the body is described and required relations for further calculations are given here. In the second part, the probability of failure of previously mentioned models is calculated. Beams are stressed by a simple and four - point bending. The impact of the body size on the probability of failure is also analyzed. The cylindrical body is solved for different variants, which are compared afterwards. At last, the effect of operating speed on the probability of failure of the rotating circular and intercircular disc is investigated.
Comparison of force transmission between trapezio-metacarpal prosthesis with dual mobility and standard prosthesis with fixed polyethylene in cup
Lamrich, Richard ; Švancara, Pavel (referee) ; Fuis, Vladimír (advisor)
Presented master thesis focuses on comparison of total replacement with fixed polyethylene and replacement with dual mobility of trapeziometacarpal joint. Computational models consist of bones trapezium, trapezoid, first and second metacarpal and components of total replacements stem, neck, insert and cup. Replacements are compared on basis that how big force is transmitted from replacement to trapezium, contact pressures between neck and insert, equivalent elastic strains of bone tissue and lastly what is the influence of friction coefficient on results. Task was solved with finite element method in software ANSYS Workbench 19.2.
Napjatostně deformační analýza mostu ve Starém Městě u Frýdku-Místku
Janík, Rostislav ; Profant, Tomáš (referee) ; Fuis, Vladimír (advisor)
The bachelor thesis analyses stress and strain of real railway bridge. Construction of bridge is modelled as plane bar system. The fisrt part of the thesis deals with a research, which includes obtaining information from theory, which is necessary for the right solution of the task. Next part dedicates to analytic solution of statically determinate and indeterminate variation of structure for load by own weight and also for load during passage of the train. In the next part are the results of analytic solution verified by numerical solution in program ANSYS. In the last part is evaluated the risk of buckling for all variations of the load.
Stress-strain analysis of the railway bridge
Al-Qubati, Ali Mohammed Ali Hasan ; Vaculka, Miroslav (referee) ; Fuis, Vladimír (advisor)
The main topic of this thesis is stress and strain analysis of road bridge over the river Orlice in Třebechovice pod Orebem. First point of the thesis is theoretical introduction to trusses and solid mechanics. Second point is describing the geometry of the bridge. Third point is creation of a 2D truss model, load of the model and description of computational algorithm. Fourth part is calculation and interpretation of results. Fifth point is verification of the fourth part. Sixth point is description of 3D truss calculation.
Analýza soustav 5-ti těles s vazbami s pasivním účinkem
Podešva, Adam ; Marcián, Petr (referee) ; Fuis, Vladimír (advisor)
This work deals with the solution of systems of 5–bodies with passive effect (NNTP). Firstly, the theoretical and physical laws of statics are described and specific systems are solved. Important elements of the solution are kinematic analysis, system loosening, subsequent static analysis, equilibrium equations, their solution and analysis of results. In the first system, the influence of the passive effects and the change in the diameter of the pulley on the resulting force effects in the ropes are examined. Furthermore, in the second system, the work is extended by changing the trajectory of the movement of the body (weight) by means of an inclined plane, resulting in changes in the magnitude of the forces in the bonds. At the end of the work, the emphasis is on checking the bodies for rollover.
Statická analýza trojkolky
Gural, Artur ; Ševeček, Oldřich (referee) ; Fuis, Vladimír (advisor)
This thesis summarize knowlidge necessary for solving problems of statics with resistant effects. Thesis defines all important terms and explains mechanics of this kind of object interaction. The practical part deals with creating application, which should be able to solve this kind of task acording to principles, which students of statics at FME are learned. There are shown in the text several problems, which are solved using created program. These should present studied problematics. Thesis and program are intended to deepen knowledge of solving statics problems.
Stress-strain analysis of a sclerotic artery during angioplasty
Trtík, Adam ; Fuis, Vladimír (referee) ; Burša, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on an analytical calculation of maximum stress and deformation in arterial wall suffering from atherosclerosis during angioplasty and compares this value to the stress in wall of both healthy and sclerotic artery loaded by normal systolic pressure. Finally, the results are compared with corresponding model using the finite element method. In the theoretical part, the histology of arteries, their biomechanical properties and pathogenesis of atherosclerosis itself are briefly described.
Optimization of sliding gate profiles
Gajdůšek, Tomáš ; Profant, Tomáš (referee) ; Fuis, Vladimír (advisor)
This thesis deals with stress and strain analysis of real self-supporting sliding gate produced by company Technopark CZ. s.r.o. In the first part of work is analyzed theory, which is used for calculations. In computational part is created model of self-supporting sliding gate and then analytically solves deformations and stresses in this model. The analytical solution is verified by the numerical solution in Ansys. At the end of the thesis are evaluated the knowledge and created the optimal dimensioning of the profiles.
Strain-stress analysis of fixed bone of foot
Zapletal, Jakub ; Fuis, Vladimír (referee) ; Návrat, Tomáš (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with analysis of the rigidity of different variations of foot fixations. In the thesis there is a description of elementary anatomy of foot and its patology. Furthermore the possible corrections of hallux deformities and chosen fixators are described. The problem of analysis is soluted by the method of finite elements. The thesis also includes steps of geometery model creation based on 3D scanning. Three differents types of fixations are compared in this thesis and each of them is created in two different levels of details. There is a comparation, analysis of final solutions and chosen influences on the rigidity in the conclusion.
