Terpyridine derivatives: preparation and complexation properties
Vitvarová, Tereza ; Svoboda, Jan (advisor) ; Sedláček, Jan (referee)
In this thesis we report synthesis of chosen terpyridine derivatives and their availability to make a complex with Zinc (II) ions and Iron (II) ions. These complexes were characterised and we studied their suitability to build supramolecular materials. Iron (II) complexes are more stable, but the Zinc (II) complexes are more suitable due to their good stability combined with great photophysical properties. We also report the polymerization of 4'-ethynyl-2, 2': 6', 2''-terpyridine as substance, which combines in the structure the possibility to make common covalent and non-covalent polymers. Last part of this thesis considers the synthesis of phosphole-based substances, which make as well as the terpyridine derivatives full conjugated system. Keywords: terpyridine, complexation, stability constant
Characterization of poly(1,4-diethynylbenzene) by IGC method
Petrášová, Sabina ; Sedláček, Jan (advisor) ; Pacáková, Věra (referee)
Poly(1,4-diethynylbenzene) ( -conjugated polymer) was prepared as an insoluble polymer network via chain coordination polymerization of 1,4-diethynylbezene catalyzed with [Rh(NBD)acac] complex. Thermodynamic properties and acid-base characteristics of the prepared poly(1,4-diethynylbenzene) were studied by means of Inverse Gas Chromatography (IGC) in the temperature range 80-100 řC. Retention data of selected testing substances were used to determine the Gibbs energy of sorption, the sorption enthalpy and their acid-base and disperse parts as well as the disperse contribution to the surface energy and parameters of KA, KD, ANHPS and DNHPS quantifying the acid-base character of the studied polymer. The results showed that poly(1,4-diethynylbenzene) interacted more efficiently with Lewis bases than with Lewis acids. The values of experimental sorption enthalpy were used for the determination of the parameters KA and KD. Values of these parameters classify poly(1,4-diethynylbenzene) as the material with a slightly acid character. This conclusion is further supported by the results of H. P. Schreiber method based on the application of ANHPS and DNHPS parameters for the evaluation of the acid-base properties of the material. The infrared spectroscopy proved that poly(1,4-diethynylbenzene) contained...
The change of the intellectuals in the age of modernity and postmodernity
Základní teoretické východisko, resp. osnovu práce, pro mne představovala kniha polského sociologa Zygmunta Baumana "Legislators and Interprets" vydaná v roce 1989. Daný sociologický koncept analyzuji z několika hledisek, zasazuji ho do historického kontextu, a doplňuji o teorie jiných autorů, které Baumanovy postuláty potvrzují či s nimi polemizují.
The energy active house
Balihar, Tomáš ; Roubík, Vladimír (advisor) ; Sedláček, Jan (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of energy active house. The emphasis is on the technical and functional solution of the house. Generally characterizes the possibilities of energy active house. The individual chapters describe the main assumptions of the house and briefly defined other types of energy-efficient buildings. Next chapters are about the heat source for hot water and heating, electrical supply and ventilation, when attention is paid to the physical nature, the functional and practical use. The thesis describes importance of heat pumps, solar systems, biomass boilers and controlled ventilation with heat recovery. Finally, it describes the general economic and ecological assessment of energy active house.
Hydrogen as an energy source
Kameneva, Liubou ; Sedláček, Jan (advisor) ; Lev, Jakub (referee)
The aim of the bachelor thesis was to describe the essence of hydrogen energy, options and methods of its obtaining, the pros and cons of the main technological solutions of hydrogen energy, based on the summary of the physical and chemical hydrogen properties. Besides that, the thesis is also dedicated to an overview of the production methods, storage and transportation, and also the hydrogen usage as an energy carrier and a potential resource for future energy storage. Though retrievals of technology solutions available nowadays, as well ones seem perspective for the future, considering the economic aspects of hydrogen energy, the thesis attempts to answer the question of whether we can actually rely on hydrogen energy, as on a certain way of fulfilling energy needs of mankind in the near future.
