Fatigue life of crankshaft
Wolf, David ; Kučera, Pavel (referee) ; Vopařil, Jan (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the crankshaft as one of the most dynamically stressed component of internal combustion engines. At the beginning describes in the wider context how is the crankshaft of internal combustion engines strained. Then it considers individual parts of crankshaft, which are affecting its construction in terms of fatigue life. And in the last section describes the different ways to eliminate the damage caused by cyclic loading and modern methods of fatigue life prediction of crankshafts.
Axles of modern trucks

The main objective of this work is to present trends of modern axle trucks. There are presented the latest famous brands axle trucks. For each type has its axle design, driving properties and applicability. Furthermore, this paper describes the basic principles and structure axle’s differentials, brakes, gearboxes and wheels in the wheels.
Conception of terrain vehicles UTV
Máca, Jiří ; Vopařil, Jan (referee) ; Kučera, Pavel (advisor)
This review type bachelor thesis is dealing with conceptual solutions of Utility terrain vehicles. Individual chapters are describing main functional groups and different options of their construction. These options are analysed in terms of suitability for given application in utility and sport terrain vehicles, their manufacturing complexity and costs. Specific vehicles are mentioned only marginally.
Energy efficiency of hydrogen utilization in transport
Mikulenka, Karel ; Kučera, Pavel (referee) ; Vopařil, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis analyses current possibilities of hydrogen usage in transport. Hydrogen is by scientific community viewed as a possible answer to ever growing emissions from transport and their negative affect on the environment. The work introduces the most significant advantages of hydrogen usage as a fuel in comparison to its counterpart combustion engine and battery vehicles. Two means of obtaining energy from hydrogen in a vehicle itself shall be described which are hydrogen combustion and fuel cells. Further shall be made analysis of current possibilities for potential end customer pertaining vehicle and fuel availability. In the end is given a general description of hydrogen transport implementation in Czech Republic and its energetic cost and efficiency within an overall hydrogen economy.
Historical development of piston internal combustion engines
Kučera, Petr ; Vopařil, Jan (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This work aims to characterize the basic stages of development of piston combustion engines for use in vehicles. The first part contains familiar with the problem of these engines, their basic structure and description and the beginnings of their development. The second part is focused on current trends in the development and way the combustion engines could proceed in the future.
CNG AS FLEET CAR´S FUEL IN SMALL COMPANY

Environmental aspects of CNG vehicles
Raiskup, Martin ; Kučera, Pavel (referee) ; Vopařil, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor‘s thesis is focused on matter of environmental aspects of cars powered by CNG. At first natural gas is introduced as a fuel for combustion engines. In the next step pros and cons are evaluated. Then there are described individual combustion systems and components of engine powered by natural gas. The main part of this thesis is focused on ecology. There is mentioned the impact on environment, comparing the impact of natural gas with other conventional fuels. This comparison is realised through the more objective Well to Wheels analysis as well.
