Poláková, Tereza ; Michlová, Radka (advisor) ; Vochozková, Jacqueline (referee)
This bachelor thesis studies a specific situation in municipalities, which lie in The Protected Landscape Area of Jizera Mountains. In case that they are influenced, is the effect negative or positive? The socio economic analysis and the SWOT analysis are used in this bachelor thesis. There are evaluated data that were gained from questionnaire survey, which was carried out between representatives of the municipalities. The result of the thesis is, that The Protected Landscape Area has an effect on a development of municipalities. This effect is not the only one in researched municipalities. The localization of municipalities in relation to agglomeration of Liberec and Jablonec nad Nisou and an accessibility of these cities have a principal influence too. The other development factors determine, whether the effect of The Protected Landscape Area on municipalities is negative or positive.

The analysis of transport gradient between cities and administrative regions in the Czech Republic
Běhounek, Josef ; Toth, Petr (advisor) ; Vochozková, Jacqueline (referee)
The work focuses on regionalisation represented by gradients of population centers (meaning generally all localities with human settlement). The theoretical part deals with various approaches on creation of regions and its formation (using various models). One of the possible applications into practise of regionalisation models including its evaluation is presented in the practical part. Namely the practical part deals with the Reilly model which is formed on data about commuting (because commuting which represents gradients between centers the best). As a variable we use commuting between pairs of centers in which one center represents a nodal center while the other center is dependent on the first one and is situated in the same administrative region (okres). The work shows that the results of the model show real relationships between gradients based on commuting to work and those based on commuting to education but the results are not satisfactory in absolut numbers because the real power of nodal center is even stronger than it was expected. Nevertheless the conclusion is not disproval of possible application of Reilly model. The conclusion is that the model has to be calibrated with more variables in order to be satisfactory.
THE EVALUATION OF PRAGUE´S SIGNAL FESTIVAL´S IMPACT ON THE SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE TOURISM REGION
Strunová, Silvie ; Silovská, Hana (advisor) ; Vochozková, Jacqueline (referee)
This thesis focuses on evaluation of Prague's Signal festival, organized in 2013 and 2015, and it's impact on regional development in Prague and the Czech Republic as a whole, from economic, social and cultural stand point. The theoretical part puts emphasis on explanation of tourism, specifically event tourism, and cultural events. Quantitative data analysis in practical part proves that the festival was successful in bringing in higher number of visitors of the city. The number of visitors throughout the duration of the festival was higher than during comparable time periods and that Signal festival was clearly a decisive factor for visits, which allows us to draw conclusion that the festival supports tourism in the region. Calculations presented in this thesis prove that city council's financial contribution to 2014 Signal festival indirectly contributed to national budget as well as direct economic contributions to regional budgets, due to increased spending by visitors and other economic activity. Empirical examination demonstrates festival's positive impact on region's cultural life, better perception of public spaces by residents and the sustainable development of tourism region.
Communication of public administration of towns and cities in development planning
Růžičková, Julie ; Khendriche Trhlínová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Vochozková, Jacqueline (referee)
The thesis defines communication of local administration in the field of development planning and introduces tools of this kind of communication. The available tools of communication are firstly analysed in the theoretical part and it is prefaced into praxis by description in case of city Tábor. The probe of inhabitants of the city outlines the interest of citizens in development planning and their opinion on current level of communication. The results of the thesis show that even if local administration uses wide range of described tools, it is necessary to fight for education and enlightenment of citizens, in execution of public administration and in the field of development planning as well. To make the communication process more effective and to get citizens more involved in development planning there is a need to promote this process and make it more attractive.
The standard of human resourses and their role in the regional development of the South Moravian Region
Surý, Jan ; Macháček, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Vochozková, Jacqueline (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the topic of human resources in South Moravian Region (SMR). The thesis presents recommendations for changes in regional politics in the area of human resource development, based on the research of selected literature, analysis of current trends and strategic documents in the EU, the Czech Republic and the SMR, analysis and comparison of development potentials of LAU 1 regions in the SMR as well as my own survey. Final recommendations proceed from all of the theoretical and practical information presented in this thesis and suggest following changes: reducing disparities at lower regional level; refinement and optimisation of the overall evaluation process and final monitoring reports of implemented programmes; better support of regions in which lower development potential was detected; stronger promotion of information about the current situation in the labour market, wages and demand for employees in selected fields; simplification of information about the currently implemented operational programmes and promotion of simpler and more understandable forms of communication in order to enhance the activity of micro-enterprises leading to an increase in the total number of applicants for grants under the operational programmes. The advantage of this study compared to studies of a similar nature is the focus on the local market. Despite an above-average concept of human resource development in the SMR in comparison with other NUTS III regions these results allow to further optimise the local policy in this region.
