High Speed Turbine with Non-Uniform Cascade
Stareček, Jakub ; Drábková, Sylva (referee) ; Veselý, Jindřich (referee) ; Haluza, Miloslav (advisor)
This doctoral thesis is focused on hydraulic design of axial turbine by CFD and FEM analyses. The results are runners with nonuniform cascades. Nonuniform runners consist of blades with different axial positions, blades with different pitch angles in runner or indifferent blades. Each runner is designed with respect to 3D printing by FDM or SLS technology and hydraulic measuring. The analyses of the excitation frequencies, modal analysis, shape of the turbine operating range, maximal efficiency, output parameters and cavitation properties are emphasized.
Hydraulic retarder
Ryšková, Marie ; Stareček, Jakub (referee) ; Klas, Roman (advisor)
This thesis is devoted to the design of hydraulic retarder, with emphasis on CFD simulation. The thesis is based on simulation of flow in hydraulic retarder with included transformation of heat. The generation of heat at breaking with hydraulic retarder significantly influences amount of created moment. With use of simulations the anticipated breaking moment emerging on break of a spinning wheel from the design is verified. A group of brake models, in which the hydraulic break belongs to, is introduced in the beginning chapters. This following chapter focuses on design of simulation model that corresponds with the process of breaking. Simple 1D mathematical model for filling the brake with oil using compressed air is introduced.
The turbine regulation of the small hydro-powerplants
Horký, Jiljí ; Dobrovolný, Martin (referee) ; Stareček, Jakub (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the regulation of water turbines in small-hydro power plants. The first chapter presents the basic theory of this issue. In the next following two chapters, the characteristics of individual types of turbines, their construction and construction of control mechanisms are introduced. With the help of velocity triangles is shown, how the flow conditions are changing during the work of control mechanisms and what influence the control has on the hydraulic machine.
Design and measurement of the tandem pump as a heart replacement
Trlica, Karel ; Stareček, Jakub (referee) ; Pochylý, František (advisor)
This diploma thesis serves as a constructional study of an axial pump with a tandem arrangement of impellers. It may also be perceived as proposal of possible constructional variants that could be used as cardiac replacements. The thesis offers several conceptual variants, while the selected ones are elaborated in detail. Drawing documentation and 3D models are included in the attachment. The components were dimensioned according to the parameters necessary for proper heart function.
The design of two-stage pump with counter rotating runners for given parameters
Vrbka, Tomáš ; Stareček, Jakub (referee) ; Haluza, Miloslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with hydraulic design and optimization of the blades of the axial pump. Main objective of the thesis is to design two stage pump with counter-rotating rotors meeting conditions of design point. In addition to the design solution the thesis includes theoretical part which deals with dividing and function description of hydrodynamic pumps.
Design studies of axial sealing pumps
Dobrovolný, Martin ; Stareček, Jakub (referee) ; Pochylý, František (advisor)
Review of axial hydraulic machines and elementary procedures of design hydraulic machines are listed in the first part of thesis. Second part is dedicated axial pump with annular motor and measurement its characteristic curve. In the third part of thesis, procedure of design axial pump with tube motor is described, also there are listed CFD results and characteristic curve of axial pump with tube motor is predicted.
The design of axial pump for given parameters
Stareček, Jakub ; Dobšáková, Lenka (referee) ; Haluza, Miloslav (advisor)
This master's thesis contains basic hydraulic calculations, design and optimalization of both the rotor and stator part of the axial pump. There is also included an analysis of the principle and function of hydrodynamic axial pumps. The last part of this work is focusing on the strength calculations and flow simulations using CFD.
Diesel Particulate Filters and Various Types of their Regeneration
Stareček, Jakub ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This work deals about creation particulate matter and their reduction in exhaust gasses. The work explains principle of forming particulate matter, characteristics of individual types, overview of filter producers and thoughts about particle filters in gasoline engines at the end.
