Possibilities of influencing blood pressure in spinal cord injury patients during verticalization
Věchetová, Tereza ; Schreier, Bronislav (advisor) ; Slabý, Kryštof (referee)
Orthostatic hypotension is a common problem for individuals with spinal cord lesions, especially in the acute period after spinal cord injury. The first part of this study deals with the theoretical analysis of the pathophysiology of cardiovascular control after spinal cord injury, the definition of orthostatic hypotension and its inclusion within the classification of the syncopal conditions. An important part of the theoretical part is the management of orthostatic hypotension, which brings non-pharmacological therapeutic approaches, and marginally pharmacology, to decrease the severity of this condition. The experimental part focuses on testing of a group of probands with spinal cord injury (11 quadriplegics) on two different types of tilt tables according to the same protocol. The first tilt table is a standard; the second one is Erigo, tilt table with integrated robotic mechanism, which moves the legs to simulate walking. The parameters, such as blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation, and the occurrence and severity of pre-synkopal symptoms, were compared. The study is based on the assumption that passive leg movement, which is mediated by the Erigo, will maintain venous return, cardiac output, and a significant drop in blood pressure and development of orthostatic hypotension,...
Function of physical therapy in comprehensive rehabilitation within Evidence Based Medicine
Ondruszová, Lucie ; Kálal, Jan (advisor) ; Schreier, Bronislav (referee)
This thesis called "Function of physical therapy in comprehensive rehabilitation within Evidence Based Medicine" firstly speaks about neuroanatomy and neurophysiology of peripheral nerves. This work also deals with symptomatology of peripheral nerve lesions and muscle dysfunctiones. It deals with indications of rehabilitation therapy including physical therapy by electrostimulation too. The aim of this thesis is to gather and make critical assessment of the piece of knowledge about objectification of physical therapy by electro stimulation. On the basis these piece of knowledge this work denominates crucial issue of objectification of electrostimulation and physical therapy as a whole. The aim of this thesis is to find out what are therapeutical possibilities of selective electrostimulatin in comprehensive rehabilitation within Evidence Based Medicine. Etiopathogenesis of the groin pain, diagnostics and therapy
Herlová, Simona ; Schreier, Bronislav (referee) ; Valouchová, Petra (advisor)
This theses sums up findings about etiopathogenesis of particular causes of groin pain, its diagnostics and its therapy. The work, for your easier orientation in it, is devided up into four groups described us: hip joint disorder, inguinal hernia, sportsman's injury and referred pain. The diagnostics part describes the examination for the motional stereotype of the hip joint and examination of the deep stabilizing muscles. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Prevention injuries cause by overloading and compensatory program of tennis players
Milerová, Klára ; Matouš, Miloš (advisor) ; Schreier, Bronislav (referee)
Tennis influences the posture of the athlete only one-sided which is the reason of muscle inbalances. These inbalances together with oveloading and other inner and outer factors are critical at injury incidence. This work is mostly about tennis injuries caused by overloading, mechanism of its origin and usual localization. There are also noticed rules of compenzatory exercises - stretching, relaxing and strenghtening. Special attention is given to practising of the correct breathing stereotypes, activation of deeper stabilization system and stabilization of sole. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Influence of Lokomat on the cardiovascular system in patients with spinal cord lesions
Stráníková, Kateřina ; Schreier, Bronislav (advisor) ; Špaňhelová, Šárka (referee)
The aim of this theses is to summarize some informations concerning to the problematic of cardiovascular system in patients with spinal cord lesions and to take into consideration the impact that training with the Lokomat using body-weight support and movable walkway, has in organism. The practical part of this work consists of heart rate and blood pressure measurements, provided during therapy using Lokomat to tetraparetics and paraparetics pacients. Heart rate increases paralelly with the in creasing intensity of exercise and stabilizes approximately after 5 minutes. This suggests that therapy using Lokomat is a dynamic physical activity and can be used to improve the rehabilitation process and condition of the patient generally. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
The effect of unstable ankle bone on the stability of standing and walking
Schořová, Jitka ; Schreier, Bronislav (referee) ; Pelc, Tomáš (advisor)
The diploma thesis "The influence of chronic ankle instability on postural stability of standing position and gait" deals with the theme of the chronic ankle instability and its role in gait and maintaining the postural stability. In the theoretical partis summarised basic kinesiology of the ankle joint and gait analysis, which is esspecially focused on muscles cooperationand movements in ankle joint. Furthermore, there is gathered knowledge about chronic ankle instability etiology. In the research part were twenty active sportsmen chosen and were devided into two groups. The first group included ten subjects with chronic ankle instability. The second group included ten subjects as a control. The aim of this research was to evaluate the relation between chronic ankle instability and subject ́s movement in the ground, its gait cycle and the loading respons of the lower legs. For the measurement and the objectivisation of chosen parameters were used specific tasks on stabilometric platform the Balance Master® System and the FDM platform®. We suggested significant differencies between the two groups. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
