Anglicisms in Programs of Czech and Russian Commercial Radios

The aim of this thesis is to show, on the basis of selected words, how the borrowed Anglicisms are used in the Russian and the Czech language. The goal is to familiarize the reader with neologisms, in particular with their creation and adaptation in the two languages. On the selected fifteen words we show how the borrowed words are used in both languages and how their integration to the language is similar. In the thesis we have shown the significance of Anglicisms in the languages and the possibilities of their derivatives and adaptation to the given system of the language. The main result of the thesis is a list of words which enables us to observe linguistic tendencies of borrowed words in the past decades. This list enriches the reader with borrowed words that are not so frequent for the reader to know them. The results which we have accomplished will enable us to focus on further research concerning this issue in the future. Key words New vocabulary, foreign words, neologisms, anglicisms, borrowing

Medical slang in Russia and Czech Republic In this work there are analysis and comparison of medical slang in Russian and Czech society. The theoretical part is based on available specialized literature; the practical part is focused on various ways of enriching the medical officers' vocabulary, and also on comparison of this slang in two languages. The purpose of writing this work is to study medical slang, determine reasons, why it is used, study its word- formation, and to form semantic classification in two languages. As well, there were dictionaries of gathered words and phrases (in Russian and Czech) with their interpretation enclosed to this work.

Animals onomatopoeia : a comparison in Russian, Ukrainian and Czech languages.

The aim of this work is to research differences in animal onomatopoeia in some Slavic languages, as well as the differences between the hearing perception of native speakers of different languages. The comparative picture of onomatopoeia is presented in three Slavic languages, two of them are East Slavic (Russian, Ukrainian) and one is West Slavic (Czech). The theoretical part is devoted to the research of onomatopoeia inclusion into the general language structure. The theory is based on a practical comparison of animal onomatopoeia. Linguistic interference in russian youth's speech on the Czech web

(in English) There are a lot of young Russian-speaking people who live in Czech Republic and study Czech language. When immersing into a foreign language they face a fusion of languages - native and studied. In other words - interference. In this diploma thesis we will examine the particularity in written communication of young people who live in Czech Republic. Based on learned academic literature, we will reveal the main errors and miscommunication, which will be then sorted out in groups and sub-groups.

Comparison of translation methods of English advertising slogans in Russian and Czech languages

An advertising slogan is one of the main ways how a brand communicates with a customer. The success of the company in the market depends on how it will be formulated. In the current economic situation, when brands operate internationally, the translation of advertising slogans is an equally important aspect. The purpose of this work is to find out which methods of translation of English advertising slogans exist, and also to find out which of them are most often used in Russian, and which are in Czech languages. PHRASEOLOGISMS IN POLITICAL DISCOURSE (BASED ON PUBLIC SPEECHES OF POLITICIANS IN RUSSIA AND CZECHIA)

In the dissertation the author presents the analysis of the use of phraseological units in modern political discourse in Russia and the Czech Republic. The author shows that phraseology can be a tool for increasing the expressiveness of a speech, for contacting and influencing the audience in the political discourse. The analysis of cognitive and pragmatic specifics of idioms and metalanguage commentaries in the speech of politicians in a comparative aspect is carried out. As a result the author showes the specifics of the use of phraseological units in describing the speech image of a politician. Russian youth slang; creative use of language by young.

This bachelor thesis focuses on compairing youth slang of two age groups: 14-17 and 17-24 yers old. The thesis consists of a theoretical part and practical part, which is accompanied by supplements. An integral part of the thesis is to focus on problematiques of meanings of argot, jargon, slang and youth slang, reasons of its using. The individual chapters are dedicated to slang's history in Russia and its sources. The main part presents an analysis of the results of a questionnaire among schoolboys and schoolgirls, students and working young people.
