The Renewal of Civic Society in Rychnov nad Kněžnou (Reichenau)

This master's thesis provides an overview of the historical development and contemporary changes of Rychnov nad Kněžnou City, with a special emphasis on the relations and attitudes in the local public life after the breakdown of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy and of Communism in respect to civil society principles. It describes the key attributes of civil society and their significance for the renewal of civil society at the level of both a public and personal life. By a questionnaire survey it studies whether the contemporary citizens of Rychnov nad Kněžnou identify themselves with any form of public life, whether it is meanigful to be a member of a club or association, if the associational life follows the First Republic tradition.

This master's thesis is concerned with the relationship between non-profit organizations and regional administration, with a special emphasis on their mutual cooperation when a regional development program is being designed. Reviewing the Olomouc region, the Plzeň Region and Hradec Králové region, the research provides an overview of approaches of both the non-profit organizations and regional administration representatives to this issue, comparing them with the data obtained from the research projects carried out in the past as well as with the accessible literature.
The professionalization of SEVER (NGO)

The thesis is dealing with the problematic of professionalisation of non governmental organizations (NGO's). Its main aim is to describe as well as analyze the process of professionalisation of one specific NGO (SEVER) taking in account the processes occurring in relation with financing by the European Union foundations. The theoretical part of the thesis is covering the basic theoretical approaches to the process of professionalisation at one hand and the attitudes of the single representatives of NGO's on the other hand, via researches and analyses done on this topic or by monitoring of the day to day work of several NGO's with respect to the process of professionalisation. The given theoretical basic defines the concept of professionalisation which meaning is used in this thesis; the meaning of the definition of professionalisation includes the processes happening or that had happened in the chosen NGO (SEVER) in relation to increase the quality of services offered. The empiric part of the theses follows the mentioned processes through the case study in the chosen NGO (SEVER) and the processes occurring in interaction of the organization (SEVER) with its surroundings. At the end of the theses there is the gained knowledge summed up and evaluated.
State Support of Domiciliary Services

The title of my diploma paper is State Support of Domiciliary Services for the Elderly, in which I talk about domiciliary services as the main instrument for social inclusion In my diploma work, I focus on the main features that influence the provision of domiciliary social services for the elderly, in the light of current reforms, related, previously implemented reforms and the introduction of social services legislation from 2006,in valid wording. In my analysis of these elements, I evaluate the support of the state to analyse the accessibility and development of domiciliary social services in the region as an instrument for social inclusion.I focus on the competence and responsibilities of the individual providers, as the state, district, community and non-governmental, non-profit organisations in the field of social services.An important element in securing high quality services is their accessibility and therefore I concern myself with the circumstances and evaluation of the region's facilities.I further describe basic financial resources of the financial structure of social services, giving the specific example of the financial structure of social service providers in Prague 2's district council area. The Development of Network of Environmental NGOs in Pardubice Region.

This diploma paper focuses on the area of environmental NGOs in Pardubice region. The main goal is to map chosen environmental NGOs and choose suitable environmental centers, which should have become the part of network of environmental NGOs in Pardubice region. The integral part ot this work is the survey of ten chosen environmental NGOs, which finds out present state and possibility of their development. Theoretical part defines individual parts, which are part of the survey and describes attitude of Pardubice region to NGOs, its conception EESE (environmental education, study and enlightenment), activity of the regional linkman of EESE and present situation of environmental NGOs in Pardubice region. In the empirical part there are described the basic information of individual NGOs, analys of questionnaires and interviews of surveyed NGOs and general summary. The new informations from the survey and evaluated achieved aims are placed at the end of the work.
