Modern methods of quality management

Bachelor’s thesis deals with modern methods of quality control management and its benefits for businesses. It consists of three parts - the first part of this work is focused on general information of methods of quality control. It describes the most important norms, there is also explained the concept of quality management and listed seven basic tools for quality improvement. The second part is devoted to detailed description of three selected modern methods of quality management, namely 5S, Just In Time (JIT) and PPAP. In this section, each method is described in detail. You will find its main purpose, history and the benefits it provides. The third part deals with a brief summary of the previous three methods, the main advantages and disadvantages of each method and are described in this part of the scope with synoptic chart.
Environmental Impact Assessment for Powder Coating Technology

This diploma thesis is focused on evaluating an environmental impact of using LCA methodology. LCA is a methodology of powder varnishing. The first part of the thesis is concerned with technologies modifying metal surfaces. An analysis of LCA technology was executed and a technological process was described. As a part of theoretical part, a description of available methods evaluating environmental impact was made. According to description the LCA methodology was chosen. In practical part of the thesis an analysis of material and energetic inputs of each process was made.
Fire safety as part of a management system

This bachelor's thesis concerns about fire protection and it's integration to the management system of industrial company. In the first part of it are said terms and legislative requirements connected with fire protection for industrial companies. The second part contains designed system for integration fire protection requirements to the management system of industrial company. In the third part of this thesis is processed the fire protection analysis of industrial company. Last part contains recommendations for the further development of fire protection.
Comparison of methods for risk analysis of major accidents

This Bachelor’s thesis deals with the methods used in safety engineering for the risk analysis of major accidents, according to Act No. 59/2006 Coll., on the prevention of major accidents, as amended by later regulations. The thesis is divided into three main parts. The first part includes the legislative summary of Act No. 59/2006 Coll. on the prevention of major accidents, as amended by later regulations and requirements for owners, which result from this law. The second part deals with the characteristics of the selected (most commonly used in practise) methods for risk analysis of major accidents. For each of the methods is given its brief characteristic, output, technique of use and appreciation of use. In the final part all the methods are compared and the usability in different parts of the risk analysis of major accidents is specified.
Using of modern methods of quality improvement in metalworking

Bachelor thesis contains a general description of the concept of quality and system designed for its management. Modern sub-systems of quality improvement are described in more detail. In particular 8D-Report, FMEA and Pareto analysis. A presentation of cooperating companies engaged in metal fabrication follows consequently together with the selection of the most appropriate tools for quality improvement and its application within the company. Obtained results are included.
Production management of stationary agricultural machinery from the perspective of safety

The main content of the diploma thesis is the implementation and evaluation of the safety audit in selected company using the manual Self-Audit Handbook for SMEs. The identification of security risks in the company is also performed by statistical analysis of accidents at work in the company and evaluating the most common causes of accidents. Based on the detected weaknesses are proposed measures to eliminate them.
Error minimisation in the process of the machining with regard to the operator

This thesis deals with analysis of measurement system capability in the production of rotary components from the viewpoint of operator error reduction and reliability of human factors. The aim is to carry out a literature review on the topic and then to analyze the current system in the company ZNOJEMSKÉ STROJÍRNY, s.r.o. Based on the obtained data suggest appropriate corrective arrangements to improve the current situation.
Safety audit in a foundry plant

Based on the results is evaluated level of occupational safety in the company and are recommend measures for improvement. Research in the field of auditing OH&S management systém is also performed.
Impact of Human Factor on Industrial Furnace Safety

The presented doctoral thesis is focused on assessment of human factor impact on safety of industrial furnaces. Industrial furnaces are classified as machinery and belong to a group of industrial thermal equipment. The operation of industrial furnaces is burdened with the risks which the manufacturers and the furnace operators realize. The first part of the thesis presents an analysis of the current situation of legislation and scientific knowledges in the field of assessment of human factor impact on safety of industrial furnaces. In this part of the thesis the issue of human factor in other industrial branches: chemical industry, aviation and nuclear industry is also described. On the basis of conducted research the main aim of the thesis was established: preparation of a methodology for assessment of human factor impact on safety of industrial furnaces. Secondary targets were also listed. The second part deals with the assessment of risks connected with the operation of industrial furnaces and the assessment of human factor impact on safety of industrial furnaces. The furnace safety requirements, the process of furnaces risk assessment, the methods used for risk assessment and problems connected with the risk assessment are described. This part of the thesis explains the concept of human factor, presents a classification and description of the methods used for human reliability assessment, as well as the factors influencing the reliability of the operator. The third part of the thesis contains a proposed methodology for assessment of human factor impact on safety of industrial furnaces. Within the methodology performance shaping factors are stated, qualitative and quantitative assessment of human factor impact on safety of industrial furnaces is made and the system integration of the knowledges into the developed methodology is proposed – qualitative model for improvement of system state. The methodology is further verified on a real equipment – a hardening furnace.
Modern methods of control and prevention of nonconforming products

The subject of this batchelor thesis is a literature review of the modern methods of control and prevention of non-conforming products. This work describes the current state of the quality system according to ISO standards and regulatory requirements for quality with regard to scientific literature and internet sources. Second part of this work is focused on localization of non-conforming products in manufacturing before the dispatching the products to the customer.
