Evaluation of employees in selected institutions from private and public sector

This thesis presents a comparison evaluation and remuneration system in selected institutions, public administration and private sector and evaluating their effectiveness. The aim of the work is based on personal interviews with recruiters in selected institutions determine differences but also the connection between the two sectors and to recommend possible improvements to processes within the institution. The theoretical part explains basic knowledge of evaluating and rewarding employees. These theoretical knowledge is then examined in the empirical part. Based on the questionnaire research is determined the current situation between Czech employers and employee preferences. From personal interviews with recruiters ensues specific differences between the sectors, but also among the institutions themselves within the sector. The conclusion presents recommendations and outcomes from the obtained information.
Analysis of sports funding from public funds in the Pardubice region

The aim is to analyze the sports funding from public funds in the Pardubice region. Decide whether this support is sufficient and justified. The analysis focuses in more detail on the various grant programs and the method of evaluating the applications. Funds flowing into the sport in the 2007-2016 are demonstrating graphically and over these years are declining. Partial analysis also shows the success of grant applicants. The number of unsupported applications exceeds the number of supported applications. Based on the analysis it shows that support is justified but insufficient. Support is unsystematic and unstable and coordination between policies in sport, at the state, country and municipal level is missing.
The comparison of the concept of ombudsman in selected countries of the European Union

This bachelor thesis deals with the institution of the Ombudsman of the Czech Republic and it focuses on the comparison of the institution with the selected foreign institutions with the same character of activities at the European Union level. The theoretical part describes the general characteristics of the institution and anchoring of institution in the legal system of reporting countries, with regard to the independence of the Ombudsman that promotes effective control of public administration. The practical part deals with measuring the effectiveness of selected offices by using the benchmarking method. Based on the analysis, we can say that the Ombudsman's Office in the Czech Republic is justified. Citizen´s confidence in the Public Defender of Rights has been increasing recently and it is comparable with the confidence of citizens of Denmark or Portugal.
The efficiency in public administration and its measurement

This bachelor thesis focuses on measuring the effectivness of output in public administration. The first part describes public administration and the terms associated with it. Public administration focuses on good governance and smart administration and these targets are fulfilled by the values of economy, efficiency and effectiveness. To reach these targets it´s necessary to find and implement methods that help improve efficiency. Last but not least it´s crucial to measure the overall change in efficiency. The fundamental part of this analysis focuses on the following two selected methods, the benchmarking and the Common Assessment Framework (CAF) method. The methods are assessed by their strengths and weaknesses based on questionnaire surveys and comparing the results of the individual methods. Each of the monitored methods are different and both methods have their advantages and disadvantages. In conclusion we can say that the method of benchmarking has greater predictive value.
Methods and strategies for advertising holiday destinations based on modern technologies and their utilization by municipal authorities

The thesis inquires into public administration activities in the sphere of advertising holiday destinations. It specifically concentrates on the approach of municipal authorities regarding utilization of modern technologies for the growth of the tourist industry and increase of public awareness of their towns. In the theoretical section, the role of public administration in tourism and advertising holiday destinations is described. It focuses on introducing particular methods and strategies that can be used by municipal authorities to publicise their territories, taking into account utilization of information and communication technologies. In the practical part, utilization of the delineated strategies is analysed for selected towns. The aim of the thesis is -- on the basis of this analysis -- to assess the approach of municipal authorities to modern forms of advertising holiday destinations.
