Teacher´s attitudes to hyperactive pupils
KRÁLOVÁ, Martina
ADHD or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is nowadays the most frequently diagnosed children mental disorder. It appears at 3-6% of school children. One of the causes of this hyperkinetic syndrome is immaturity of central nervous system, where genetic and non-genetic factors, which emerge prenatally, are applied. Then children have attention problems, they are impulsive and hyperactive. The beginning of studies at elementary school is very important step for the child because the school is trying to socialize and develop the attitude to life. Teachers are expected to use respect to individuality and personality to make the studying attitude easy for the child. Working with hyperactive child (and working with the whole class where this child belongs as well) is de facto a special demand on the teacher and it is highly above the usual education competence. In theoretical part of this thesis I'm trying to describe ADHD problems and I write as well about conception of this syndrome and of corresponding terminology, from minimal cerebral dysfunction to today's conception of ADHD. Individual chapters are dedicated to symptoms of ADHD and to occurrence of the disorder, to it's causes and diagnostics. I also add a chapter about different course of ADHD at both sexes. Then I work in detail on problems connected with adaptation of child with ADHD to school environment ? I describe usual behaviour of hyperactive child, the influence of class, the teacher's personality and his (or her) ideas about students. I also quote the main legislation, rules and provisions connected to teaching a child with ADHD. Taking into consideration the importance of family on child's working at school, I add an extra chapter about a family with ADHD child, in which I describe relationships between the parents and the child and their rules to successful raising. At the end of the theoretical part I write about consulting facilities that parents and teachers can use, I examine how they work and what they provide. In my research I present the course and the result of qualitative research which is focused on elementary teacher's experience with teaching hyperactive students. I was not only interested in teachers' knowledge and in their attitude to hyperactive students but also in practical skills that they use during teaching. I am using these four questions to express the general task of my research: 1) What is the teachers' experience with hyperactive students like? 2) How is cooperation with their parents? 3) How does cooperation with consulting facilities look like? 4) How to apply methodical instructions? Research questions are further converted into questions for the semi-structured interview. The results from the research are supported by information from the interview with ten teachers from elementary schools. The most important result of my research is finding out that pedagogical assistant together with sitting in front of the class significantly improves children's adaptation to school requirements. Hyperactivity does not influence the class social status of children with ADHD. Between teachers there is a widespread belief that hyperactivity can be partially influenced in the family. Teachers are satisfied with cooperation between them and parents and they do not want to change it. Families cooperate with pedagogical-psychological advisory center or with other specialists (psychiatrist, neurologist or psychologist). While trying to apply methodical instructions, teachers from my research group do not rely on help from PPP and they prefer to solve problems themselves. This thesis demonstrates authentic experience of teachers who has worked with hyperactive children. I write about specific teaching demands and about principles for working with hyperactive students that can be useful for general pedagogical public.
PREVENTION OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING CONDUCTED AT SECONDARY SCHOOLS
KRÁLOVÁ, Martina
Even though 79% of the surveyed students claim they have heard the term ``human trafficking{\crq}q, only 14% can define this term accurately. On the basis of the information obtained, a conclusion was arrived at that the level of information about human trafficking among students at Kolín-district secondary schools is inadequate. The students themselves said in their opinions that they did not have enough information about human trafficking, thus confirming this fact. The benefit and sense of this dissertation was to map the still uncharted territory of Kolín-district secondary schools from the viewpoint of human trafficking and to conduct a lecture. Compared to other issues, the prevention of human trafficking is neglected. Therefore, lectures should be conducted on this issue, which should even be integrated into the curriculum, in particular in the subjects of citizenship and the basics of social sciences.
Polymorphism of microsatellite markers in selected \kur{Beauveria bassiana} strains/isolates
KRÁLOVÁ, Martina
\kur{Beauveria bassiana} is a entomopathogenic polyphagous fungus commonly found in soil and it is parasite of soil insects, mainly of the stages of insect that occur in soil. At the present time it is used in plant protection against more than 70 species of insects. In the Czech Republic \kur{Beauveria bassiana} has the greatest importance in the fight against bark beetle \kur{Ips typographus} in the NP Šumava in these days. This study was focused on the evaluation of genetic variability \kur{Beauveria bassiana} strains on the basis of microsatellite analysis and the comparison of four separation methods: electrophoresis in 2% agarose gel, electrophoresis in 3% synergel, chip electrophoresis and fluorescent capillary electrophoresis in term of the most precise separation of PCR products. We used 41 strains which were collected in the NP Šumava and 20 strains from long-term collection determined as an exotic in this study. This large geographical scale group contains the strains from whole world and in addition it was upgraded by the strains collected from the NP Krkonoše and South Moravia. For the microsatellite analysis there were used 11 pairs of primers but for inter-comparison of separative methods were chosen only 4 pairs of primers. The population of \kur{Beauveria bassiana} strains collected from the NP Šumava were evaluated by analysis of microsatellites as a conservative and fully closed regardless of the source and the location. The strains from the large geographical scale group showed the great genetic variability. In terms of separation, the best and most suitable separation method was proved, the fluorescent capillary electrophoresis. Despite of its difficult financial aspect, this method was evaluated as the most precise and the most sensitive. Its advantage is in possibility to detect the smallest differences in the length of single allele in the range 1-2 bp, which is for the gel electrophoresis impossible.
International organizations and their development agenda: selected cases
Králová, Martina ; Cihelková, Eva (advisor) ; Bič, Josef (referee)
The objective of this thesis is an analysis of development agenda of international ogranizations in general and in case study. In the first chapter, the causes and forms of today's uneven world development are discussed. Part of the first chapter also handles development aid effectiveness, which has become one of the most discussed topics in development agenda whatsoever. The second chapter deals with position of international organizations, in particular of United Nations, in global governance. The influence of UN on international development agenda and essential UN reform are mentioned. The last chapter analyzes approaches to development agenda and dealing with development issues within United Nations.
Influence of genotype on rutin content in plants from genus \kur{(Fagopyrum)}
KRÁLOVÁ, Martina
The bachelor work is focused on evaluation of the influence of buckwheat species and variety on rutin containt in particular plant parts, on the total rutin yield per hectare production and on comparison varietal differences between both species, common buckwheat \kur{(Fagopyrum)}esculentum)} Moench) and tartary buckwheat \kur{(Fagopyrum tataricum)}. Rutin is a flavonol (quercetin-3-O- rutinosid) which is also called P vitamin. As well as it is known as the permeability factor or factor allowing permeability of the blood vessel. Rutin stimulates the C vitamin effect. Rutin has as well a high influence on hypertension, hypercholesterolemia and other cardiovascular diseases due to antioxidant properties. Buckwheat is the most important source of rutin. It is annual plant which belongs to Polygonaceae family and has a beneficial effect on human body. The common grown type is common buckwheat \kur{(Fagopyrum)}esculentum)} Moench) and less used type is buckwheat tartary \kur{(Fagopyrum tataricum)}. Tartary buckwheat \kur{(Fagopyrum tataricum)} contains several times higher amount of rutin than common buckwheat \kur{(Fagopyrum)}esculentum)} Moench). The highest amount of rutin is presented in the leaves and blossoms and the lowest one in seeds. Tartary buckwheat \kur{(Fagopyrum tataricum)} has much higher amount of rutin in seeds than common buckwheat \kur{(Fagopyrum)}esculentum)} Moench). The varietal differences in rutin content are considerable.
Monitoring kouření cigaret u dětí staršího školního věku
KRÁLOVÁ, Martina
However, the research proved positive trend on a prevalence of children´s regular smoking, children´s smoking remains a problem which demands a solution. The research showed that a negative experience with cigarettes and their disgusting taste had a harsch effect on children. Children´s parents should therefore remember that they are an example for their children and can influence health and the whole future life of their descendants. Parents and also teachers at schools should repeat continuously to children that smoking of cigarettes could destroy their health and that smoking is a serious disease which really kills.
