Devices for user behavior analysis on Twitter

People connected in a social network manifest certain patterns regarding their behavior, which are stemming from similar patterns emerging from conventional social networks. In my work I will try to describe some of these behaviors as they are projected on Twitter and how they apply when performing discovery preceding a marketing campaign as well as during post-campaign evaluation. From the practical standpoint I will try to apply this information on a real marketing campaign aimed at boosting sales as well as follower numbers.
Facebook Privacy

This paper deals with privacy on the social network Facebook. At the beginning has been defined terms such as privacy, personal data and social networks. Furthermore, it describes the history and gradual development of Facebook. Another chapter deals with the listing rules to ensure privacy on Facebook and how that information may be used in breach of these rules. Next, a description of social graph and its acquisition of Facebook API, which is then used in the next chapter, it shows a practical example of retrieving data from open-access user accounts. Then followed a survey that determines how well other users have setup privacy settings on Facebook. Finally, this paper is recommending most kinds of settings for your privacy, based on the fundamental principles of safe on the Internet and rules to ensure privacy on social networks.
Digital Asset Optimization

The aim of this Bachelor thesis is:? to present a theoretical definition of the Digital Asset Optimization and to describe the current state and processes of optimization in individual domains, which deals with Digital Asset Optimization. Bachelor thesis then examines the optimization procedures for search engines especially in the domains of video content, images, maps and other types of documents on the Internet, which could be useful for companies in their marketing activities on the Internet.
Web Design Characteristics - Online Shops Layout Analysis in Czech Republic

The importance of information still grows at the present time of information age. Besides, the internet is bottomless source of information and also infinite communication channel it is powerful tool to make a profit too. Many people appreciate its potential and many of them even established a business on internet or expanded their services to this dimension. The result was rapid growth of competition in e-commerce area. Companies try to catch their customers all possible ways. That's why there is tendency in webdesign focusing on user's needs and comfort. This work deals one of the main parts of webdesign. Namely layout and component position on the website. Work contains theoretical part -- characteristic of layout and practical part -- analyses layout of e-shops in Czech Republic.
Web Navigation on E-commerce Websites in the Czech Republic

The primary purpose of this study is to explore web navigation design practices on e-commerce sites in the Czech Republic. Qualitative research methodology was utilized in this study defining: sample of e-commerce sites, navigation types and qualitative design properties of web navigation. The collected data are presented in compliance with the utilized methodology including summary of important empirical evidences in shape of recommendation for e-commerce companies. The thesis consists of four parts: the first chapter brings up an introduction to web navigation and sets thesis philosophy. The next chapter introduces the theoretical discourse about navigation systems and design characteristics as information base for the third part describing methodology of qualitative characteristics adherent to web navigation which are evaluated in the final part.
Critical factors affecting the business segment of web browser games

This bachelor thesis primarily focuses on formulation of critical success factors affecting the business segment of web browser games. To meet this objective are at first defined web browser games and their position on market of online games, then are described major evolution phases of this market segment on the world's scale and individually on local Czech scale. Another information source used in the thesis are findings brought by the analysis of contemporary web browser games' market -- divided into two separate players' and producers' parts. The critical success factors in the last part of the thesis are then defined by combining all of the previously gathered information with great emphasis on differences between local and foreign web browser games' producers.
Facebook Platform

This paper describes an environment in which to operate the applications, on currently the most widespread social network Facebook called Facebook Platform. In the introduction, I describe the functioning of social networks, including their specific characteristics and position of Facebook among others social networks on the Internet. Another part deals with the enumeration of philosophical principles and practical means for creating applications on this platform. The work also focuses on capturing the current state of the market with applications on Facebook Platform, including leading developers and describes the principles by which their achievements are gained. It also seeks to comprehensively map the demographic information about users on social network Facebook. Subsequent practical example may serve as a guide and directions for future developers to useful sources of information and proven principles. Finally, it contains the latest information on the future development of Facebook Platform.
The web analysis and design methodology MANW

The main subject of this thesis is to prepare the web analysis and design methodology, MANW. The first part of the thesis is dedicated to the definition of the methodological framework on the basis of which the methodology will be built. The framework comes out from the methodological framework MEFIS which has been accustomed to comply with specific needs of the web application and websites development. The second part of the thesis is dedicated to the research of existing methodologies for web project implementation. Based on the research, the elements of the methodologies suitable for analysis and design are selected and then incorporated into the MANW methodology. The last part of the thesis is the description of the methodology itself and description of its characteristics and elements. The goal of the diploma thesis is to prepare a simple methodology for websites and web applications analysis and design which can be used in agile web development. The methodology is described by its phases, processes, roles, inputs and outputs and other elements which are defined in the elaborated methodological framework. The output of methodology processes are the data for implementation, deployment and operation of web solutions. It was necessary to define the term methodology and define a methodological framework first in order to work out the methodology itself successfully. Another starting point for methodology design was the research of existing methodologies which also serves as an introduction to the problems of web projects implementation and provides an overview of existing tools. Output of the thesis is the MANW methodology which is a synthesis of the working experience and of a methodological framework theory. This methodology is easily modifiable and thanks to the clear process definition it can provide the companies with an effective solution of web products analysis and design.
Utilization of guidelines WCAG 2.0 within evaluation of usability and accessibility of low cost airlines web sites with the emphasis on the customer

Content of this work is focused on the topic of usability and accessibility of web pages. As the main goal I determined to create a technique to evaluate web pages of low-cost airlines, which should be based on guidelines WCAG 2.0. This evaluation will be consequently applied on web sites of three particular low-cost airlines. Based on the results I want to prove, if the airlines really take care about accessibility of their web pages also for customers with disabilities and characterize through the use of percent representation to what degree they satisfy the rules for accessibility. Among tested web sites will appear the most important low-cost airline operators on the territory of the Czech Republic. It will be both representatives of foreign companies and also Czech companies. In the end a winner will be chosen. It will be a company with web pages corresponding with the conditions of evaluation on the highest level.
Social Networks' Business Models

This paper examines popular social networks from the financial point of view. It analyses four social networks which fall into three categories: social networks (Facebook), communities (YouTube and LinkedIn) and microblogging services (Twitter). Each of these services is specific and is described in a separate chapter. The main aim of the paper is to analyze the social networks' business models. They are explained in the part two which is the most significant and largest part of the paper. It follows the first part which discusses the question whether it is possible to find out the real market value of a social network. Part three involves the author's suggestions, how to amend the current business models and if it is possible to put up a new model. The final part of the paper offers the comparison between the current situation and the situation back in the year 1999 which ended up in the burst of the dot com bubble.
