Creation and verification of fitness exercise program for a group of trainees in the centre of a healthy lifestyle at PF JU
KŘÍŽ, Martin
The aim of this thesis is to verify a fitness exercise program for a group of trainees attending the academic centre of a healthy lifestyle at PF JU. Anthropometric data, physical fitness and movement patterns were tested and measured. The input and output data were collected on a sample of 12 participants 7 men and 5 women. The fitness program was applied in range of 13 weeks in form of a circuit training with focus on CORE, medical and compensation exercise and fitness development. To evaluate the impact of the intervention program were used indicators of body composition (BMI, WHR and Brock index), functional dynamic test (Ruffier test), deep forward bent test by Thomayer and posture analysis test according to Matthias.
Production of bicycle pedals with FDM 3D printer
Kříž, Martin ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Zemčík, Oskar (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with design and production of bicycle platform pedals using Fused Deposition Modeling. The thesis begins with overview of FDM method, its principle, applications and common used materials. The paper continues with analysis of design requirements and stress behavior of pedal body under various riding conditions. In the next section are presented three designs of pedal body, created according to design requirements and manufacturing method. Individual designs are evaluated using computer stress analysis. The main part of the thesis describes production of the first prototype from its initial design to the manufacturing process and final testing. Thesis follows with production of redesigned version of pedals based on collected data and concludes with proccess and economic evaluation
Spectroscopic study of key biomolecular interactions for therapeutic applications of modified oligonucleotids
Kříž, Martin
Title: Spectroscopic study of key biomolecular interactions for therapeutic applications of modified oligonucleotides Author: Martin Kříž Department: Institute of Physics of Charles University Supervisor: Prof. RNDr. Josef Štěpánek, CSc., Institute of Physics of Charles University Abstract: This dissertation thesis is focused on study of biomolecular interactions that are crucial for therapeutic applications of modified oligonucleotides. Interactions of nucleic acids, in particular hybrid DNA: RNA duplexes with fully complementary sequences, as well as DNA: RNA duplexes with a central mismatch were studied. The molecular model was created. With this model the influence of five different chemical modifications in the DNA strand to its binding ability was studied. Structural changes were characterized by Raman spectroscopy using a precise differential and double differential spectra. These data were supplemented by thermodynamic parameters computed from melting curves obtained by UV absorption spectroscopy. Furthermore, the Raman spectroscopy was applied on study of conformation changes in the RNase L protein. These changes in the conformation occur after ligand binding, which in this case, either natural or modified short oligonucleotide. Measurement of RNase L was performed using a special experimental...
Diversity, phylogeny and ecology of members of the family Geastraceae
Zehnálek, Petr ; Koukol, Ondřej (advisor) ; Kříž, Martin (referee)
The family Geastraceae is a group of Fungi with global distribution and with saprophytic manner of nutrition. Its members have basic characters of class Gasteromycetes, which no longer exists. The fruitbodies have angiocarpous morphology and peridia are well developer and very distinct in their functions. Star-shaped mature fruitbody is the most typical character of these interesting mushrooms. This bachelor's thesis deals with family Geastraceae. Its object is give a basic overview about the actual state of knowledge of this group of Fungi. It is group that is known from all continets besides from Antarctica. The members of family Geastraceae are saprophytes and they are found in different forest and non-forest habitats. The members of this familia are characterized by their morphology with a special terms and it will be described in details. Other aim is a recapitulation historical development family Geastraceae in system of Basidiomycota. Several recent molecular phylogenetic studies brought some new surprising knowledges about taxonomy of the family Geastraceae and the membership of some genera was questioned.

New Diagnostic Methods in Dermatology: Non-invasive Diagnosis of Non-melanoma Skin Cancer
Kříž, Martin ; Arenberger, Petr (advisor) ; Pavel, Stanislav (referee) ; Vašků, Vladimír (referee)
Non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC) is the most prevalent cancer in the light-skinned population. New less- or non-invasive treatments are increasingly used for NMSC patients, making the development of non-invasive diagnostic technologies highly relevant. The scope of this work is to present data on the current state-of-art in diagnostic methods for NMSC and actinic keratosis. Different key words were searched through scientific search-engines. Results of the two of our studies are presented. Encouraging results from the reviewed diagnostic trials have suggested a high diagnostic accuracy for many of the new technologies. New imaging technologies have the capability of providing new or additional data or enough information in vivo to understand of NMSC development and to help the clinical diagnostics. Some of the new technologies, especially the high frequency ultrasonography described in the paper have the potential to be used in the daily praxis of NMSC diagnostic. The fluorescence diagnostic brings in our point of view a great merit in second line diagnostics of advanced and not clear cases.
Relaxed rebalancing of binary search trees
Kříž, Martin ; Koubek, Václav (referee) ; Koubková, Alena (advisor)
In standard binary trees the rebalancing is carried out in connection with and immediately folowing the updates. Relaxed balancing allows to separate updates and rebalancing. First advantage of this approach is to keep the tree partially unbalanced and leave rebalancing to the different time when system is idle. Other great benefit of presented relaxed balancing algorithms in concurrent enviroment is necessity of keeping only small constant number of locks for modifying operations and thus allowing more modifying operations in the tree at the same time. The aim of this thesis is to empirically compare standard and relaxed variant of AVL tree in several different scenarios in concurrent enviroment according to number of data compares, number and type of rotations and according to the time requirements.
