BACHELOR THESIS ABSTRACT Author's first name and surname: Anna Chmelařová Bachelor thesis supervizor: MUDr. Petra Sládková, Ph.D. Oponent: Title of bachelor thesis: Options of Physiotherapy Approaches for Patients with Vertebral Algic Syndrome of Lumbar Spine using ICF Core Set Abstract: This bachelor thesis deals with options of physiotherapy approaches for patients with vertebral algic syndrome of lumbar spine as well as with the clinical appliacation of the International classification of functioning, disability and health (ICF) using the Brief ICF Core Set for Low Back Pain. This thesis contains of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part includes variety of causes of vertebral algic syndrome, basic information about epidemiology, etiology and time duration. Options of physiotherapy approaches which were used for patients chosen for this thesis are also described. Furthermore, the thesis uses the characteristic of the ICF and describes the Brief ICF Core Set for Low Back Pain, including the ratings of validity of this Core Set by two chosen studies. The practical part offers an overview of methodology of this thesis, in particular the data collection methods, patient selection, goals and assumptions of this thesis. It also contains case reports of three chosen patients inluding the Brief...
The use of physiotherapy procedures for patients with compartment syndrome in the context of arterial closures
Kubánek, Marek ; Heřmanová, Ivona (advisor) ; Brožová, Kamila (referee)
BACHELOR'S THESIS ABSTRACT Author's first name and surname: Marek Kubánek Supervisor: Bc. Ivona Heřmanová Title of the thesis: The use of physiotherapy procedures for patients with compartment syndrome in the context of arterial closures Abstract This thesis deals with physiotherapy methods used in the treatment of compartment syndrome. The first part describes the overview of the theoretical knowledge in anatomy, defines the basic concepts and finally deals with individual physiotherapy practices. The research is focused on comparing the Vojta method and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation at two patients with the diagnosis of compartment syndrome. One patient underwent therapy using proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, the second patient Vojta reflex locomotion, both in the range of five therapies in five consecutive days. When comparing the two patients achieved a significant improvement in muscle strength. The objectification of measuring muscle strength muscle test was used according to Janda. The measurements resulted in significant differences in comparing the efficiency of both methods. Key words: Compartment syndrome, Physiotheraphy, Vojta's method, PNF, M. tibialis anterior syndrome
Physical activity and treatment of patients with acute coronary syndrome
Novotná, Marie ; Heřmanová, Ivona (advisor) ; Táborská, Silvie (referee)
BACHELOR THESIS ABSTRACT Author: Marie Novotná Supervisor: Mgr. Ivona Heřmanová Title of Bachelor Thesis: Physical activity and treatment of patients with acute coronary syndrome Abstract: The subject matter of this bachelor thesis is the relationship between acute coronary syndrome (ACS) and physiotherapy. The theoretical part summarizes up to date facts about pathophysiology, etiology, diagnostics and ways of treatment of ACS. It includes a specific form of physiotherapy used not only during in-house hospital treatment but also as a follow up treatment after patient's discharge. The aim of the practical part was to emphasize the importance and implementation of the patients' physical activity and change of their lifestyle after discharge from hospital. Anamnesis, examination and individual therapy was recorded in each patient's case history file. Feedback was obtained in a form of a questionnaire sent to patients for completion, with their prior agreement, two weeks after their discharge from the hospital. Key words: acute coronary syndrome, myocardial ischemia, cardiac rehabilitation, physiotherapy, healthy lifestyle
