Stress-strain analysis of dental implant inserted in maxilla
Dušková, Tereza ; Hájek, Petr (referee) ; Marcián, Petr (advisor)
Variety of problems can appear when introducing dental implants, especially to in the maxilla. Biggest problems are caused by insufficient quality and volume of the bone tissue of the alveolar process. This thesis focuses on stress-strain analysis of an implant introduced in the maxilla. Mechanical interaction between the implant and bone tissue is solved using computational modelling with the finite element method. From analysis of results, it was discovered that deformation and tension of the implant are influenced by the direction of the load, osseointegration and thickness of the cortical bone tissue. In the anterior region, it is necessary to work with other types of load than axial.
Effect of exercise with Flexibar in paraplegics
Dušková, Tereza ; Hlinková, Zuzana (advisor) ; Špaňhelová, Šárka (referee)
The aim of this study was to demonstrate that exercise with a oscillatory poles FLEXI- BAR ® for paraplegics has a positive effect on strength, the force endurance, stability and proprioception. The theoretical starting point is the supposed positive effects of vibration training on the human body. The training was attended by 14 subjects, who thirty minutes a day for four weeks, doing exercises with Flexi-Bar ® as a single methodical series of exercises. The effect of therapy was evaluated by hand-grip test, inclination test, a modified 6- MWT test and a test of target point. The hypotheses were confirmed, the results of all tests was statistically significant.
Physiotherapeutic procedures in paraplegics after spinal cord lesion
Dušková, Tereza ; Vacek, Jan (advisor) ; Mende, Karel (referee)
Rehabilitation of patients with spinal cord injury begins immediately after the accident. Before begining a particular therapy, a specific neurological examination according to ASIA (American Spinal Injury Association) protocol is required, which allows to determine the level and severity of neurological damage. Specific rehabilitation procedures and methods are used to minimalize the neurological and functional deficits that occur after spinal cord injury. Procedures that are used include procedures from rehabilitation nursing, pasive and active movements, methods based on neurophysiology, techniques from breathing therapy, manipulative therapy, exercises with apparatus (MotoMed, Lokomat), FES, IMF-therapy, verticalisation, relaxation techniques, physical therapy and other. The goal of therapeutic rehabilitation in acute, subacute and chronic phase of spinal cord injury is maximal restoration of function, best use of remnant muscle potential and the formation of alternative mechanisms to reach the highest level of self-sufficiency and quality of life.
Stress-strain analysis of beam elements using finite element method
Dušková, Tereza ; Šebek, František (referee) ; Návrat, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis is about solving stress-strain analysis of beam elements using finite element method. Algorithms of the finite element method for variously mounted beams are implemented using Matlab. Results are then compared and validated with analytic solution and ANSYS software solution.
