Mediainfo.cz and its importance for the Czech media environment Klára Böhmová 2015 Abstract The thesis "Mediainfo.cz and its importance for the Czech media environment," applies to the internet media server mediainfo.cz during the period from September 2013 to September 2014, when articles dealing with mass media issues were published there. The main objective was to find out what was the thematic focus of mediainfo.cz, who its authors and readers were, and what its competition was in the field of electronic media - the extent to which the project was unique and its standing on the Czech media scene. The first part of my thesis is devoted to the concept of agenda setting, which emphasizes the influence of the media in shaping public opinion and thus its social significance. The concept of agenda setting provides an appropriate theoretical framework for the study of Internet media servers dealing with mass media. The second part of the thesis is a case study that focuses on the actual profile of the server mediainfo.cz, compiled by using theoretical qualitative analysis. I have then used the conclusions from this middle chapter for comparison in the following and the final part. Bachelor thesis is focused on the selection of affordable information system in real operating companies operating in customer service. Information system should ensure reducing unnecessary administrative burdens engineers performing manual labor. Data and information should be partially automated. The selection framework were therefore included in programs established standards for service organizations, and will be confronted with custom software.

Noncast television : downloaded TV series and their viewers

Television viewers have no material control over the broadcast program. They cannot choose the time, when they will watch selected program that is under the command of the broadcasters. Television serial is the most asymmetric form. Every episode of the given serial promotes the next one and provides audience in advance. It is very interesting to find out, how people, who download serials, treat them. They can watch the serials, how they want. Presented work, through the qualitative analysis of the interviews with people, who watch downloaded shows, inquires whether the material control over the program sequence is the main and only motive for downloading, and also how these persons use the serials and how they communicate about them. The results and conclusions are compared with an inquiry about the respondents' way of (present or previous) watching TV (and especially serials).
