The bachelor thesis focuses on financial analysis of significant global companies operating in the field of Information Technology. The first part of the thesis discusses theoretical aspects of investing, particularly strategies of hedge funds and fundamentals of financial analysis of companies. The second part contains a description of the proposed fund and conducts analysis and comparison of selected companies. The third part presents a proposal for portfolio supplementation of the fund.

The aim is to identify strategies for portfolio optimization with respect to risk diversification and maximum expected return. The thesis combines theoretical principles of portfolio management and modern investment theory with a practical analysis of the current portfolio of the selected fund. Based on a comprehensive analysis of risks and potential opportunities in the market, recommendations for portfolio replenishment and optimization are proposed.

The diploma thesis deals with the elaboration of a proposal for an investment recommendation to expand the investment portfolio of the industry-focused fund with shares of companies from the pharmaceutical and biotechnological industries. The theoretical part deals with collective investment, hedge funds and also contains methods of financial analysis. The practical part includes an initial selection of companies, which are then subjected to analysis, their mutual comparison and verification in terms of their potential bankruptcy. The proposal part deals with an investment recommendation for the expansion of the hedge fund.
Investing in Commodities through Futures Contracts

The diploma thesis focuses on the analysis and comparison of selected commodities in order to create an investment recommendation to diversify the hedge fund's equity portfolio. The theoretical part deals with issues related to the investment portfolio, commodities, trading through futures contracts and explains the applied analytical methods. In the practical part, commodities are first selected, which are then analyzed by selected methods and finally compared by a comparative method. The last part of the work contains, based on the results, a proposal to expand the investment portfolio and the process of making investments through commodity futures contracts.
Expansion of the Investment Portfolio of the Industry Based Hedge Fund

The bachelor's thesis deals with a proposal for expansion of the investment portfolio of the industry-based hedge fund. In the theoretical part, two types of investment funds are described, however, the hedge funds and the terms related to them are outlined in more detail. The selected tools of financial analysis are also discussed. The practical part of the thesis begins with the definition of the statute and management requirements of the fund. Then an initial selection of the companies follows. The chosen companies were further analyzed by means of the financial ratios, then the companies were compared to each other and verified by a bankruptcy model. At the end, the proposal for expansion was delivered.

The diploma thesis is dedicated to the recommendation of supplementing the Exchange Traded Fund with shares of tobacco industry companies. The chapter of the theoretical basis of the work describes in more detail ETFs, investments and all kinds of indicators used in the analytical part. The analytical part proceeds from the selection of companies, through the analysis itself, to the verification of companies. Recommended companies, as well as anticipated industry developments and current risks of investing in shares, are presented in our own proposals.

First part of thesis considers theoretical aspects related to due diligence and M&A. In practical part are done financial due diligence and legal due diligence. As part of financial due diligence are analysed financial statements and performer financial analysis. The riskiest aspects and proposals for their correction are derived from the results.

The work deals with the theory of the company itself and its financing, further analyzes the current state of the company. It follows a strategic plan for the future development of the company. The output of the work is a proposal for financing the mentioned strategic development of the company.
Proposal to Extend The Investment Portfolio of The Hedge Fund

This bachelor's thesis is aimed at hedge fund (in Czechia only as analogy), for which a proposal for expanding the investment portfolio in the field of the automotive industry is developed in the practical part. In the first part, basic concepts, elements of financial analysis, comparative methods and models are defined, which are subsequently implemented in the practical part. The selected companies are verified using a banking model, and based on the results of all the above-mentioned analyzes and methods, a proposal is presented to expand the investment portfolio by the shares of certain companies.
Proposal to Expand the Investment Portfolio of the Hedge fund of Funds

This bachelor’s thesis is focused on selection of titles for expansion of investment hedge fund of funds. The theoretical part describes mutual investing, hedge funds and mutual funds. In the second part of the thesis the concrete hedge fund of funds has been described. It also includes the requirements of its management for expanding the portfolio. The third part contains of the primary selection of titles for portfolio expansion. These titles were analyzed and compared in the following part. In the last section of the thesis the recommendations for expanding the portfolio of the hedge fund of funds have been made, based on the results of analysis and comparation of the titles.
