Modulation of pKa of the recognition moiety of azaphthalocyanine sensors
Čermáková, Veronika ; Zimčík, Petr (advisor) ; Zitko, Jan (referee)
Charles University, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Analysis Candidate: Veronika Čermáková Supervisor: Assoc. Prof. Petr Zimčík, Ph.D. Title of Diploma Thesis: Modulation of pKa of the recognition moiety of azaphtalocyanine sensors Azaphthalocyanines (AzaPc) are macrocyclic compounds containing a large system of conjugated double bonds that enables them to absorb light in the red part of the spectrum that is promising in biological applications. They are characterized by intense red fluorescence as one of the relaxation pathways of the excited state after absorbing a photon. The fluorescence of AzaPc substituted with a phenol moieties on the periphery can be switched ON/OFF depending on the pH of the environment and the pKa of the phenolic group. In basic medium, the molecule occurs as phenolate and undergoes intramolecular charge transfer between the phenolate group (a donor) and the electron- deficient macrocyclic core (an acceptor). As a consequence of this process, the fluorescence is quenched. Switching between ON/OFF states in phenol-substituted AzaPc is dependent on the proton concentration and thus can be utilized in pH sensing. The aim of this work was to synthesize derivatives of phenol-substituted AzaPcs whose pKa is...
Evaluation of the Company´s Financial Performance using Benchmarking Approach
Čermáková, Veronika ; Pribyl, Peter (referee) ; Bartoš, Vojtěch (advisor)
This thesis deals with the evaluation of the performance of Ziehl-Abegg, s.r.o (Ltd.) The first part looks into the issues of evaluating the company's performance from the theoretical point of view. The analytical part takes a closer look at the company in question using it to carry out a strategic analysis and subsequently a comparison of various indicators is made against the company's competitors. Based on the escertained facts and analysis made, various measures are proposed aimed at improving the company's situation.
Optimalizace zařazování prasniček do reprodukce
Čermáková, Veronika
The aim of the thesis was to analyze the marshaling gilts for breeding. The experiment contains two groups of gilts. First group included gilts from own production, second gilts were purchased. Main goal was evaluation of pregnancy length, age in first pregnancy, in first due date and assess the numbers all born piglets, live- born piglets, stillborn piglets and mummified piglets in the litter from the first parity sows. Gilts were also analyzed for reproduction, depending on breeding age or age in purchasing period. According to that results, we did evaluation for selected indicators of reproduction like gravidity length, all born piglets, live-born piglets, stillborn piglets and mummified piglets in a litter. As we can see from results, the highest number of all newborn piglets achieve gilts from own production, namely 13,70 DC. Gilts in own production gave us higher number of live born piglets, 12,74 DC but they have lower number of stillborn piglets, specifically 0,61 DC. Gilts, which were purchased, have lower number of mummified piglets 0,04 DC. The length of gilts pregnancy were the same in both groups, average is 115 days. First service of gilts in own production was 238,02 days, in group of purchased gilts it was 247,65 days. Averadge age for first birth in own production group was 353,66 days, purchased group 363,32 days.

The bachalor's thesis "Beuron Art in the Emmaus Monastery" examines an unique phase in the history of Emmaus Monastery influenced by Beuron Art. It presents to reader a preview of the artistic transformation of the monastery from 1880 until it's critical destruction on February 14, 1945, when became to unwanted object of the bombing of Prague. We can find out about the monastery restoration process realized in the following years. Another part of the bachelor's thesis gives us general information about Beuron Art School and it's main representatives. Then it shows the significance of this artisitic style and maps it's other artworks in Prague. Keywords Beuron, Beuron Congregation, Beuron Art School, Emmaus Monastery, OSB, sacral interior
Proposal of the Debt Collection Improvement in the Enterprise
Čermáková, Veronika ; Vrbovský, Tomáš (referee) ; Musilová, Helena (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of securing and collecting past due claims in the Ziehl – Abegg s.r.o. company. The theoretical part defines receivables, how they are created and secured from the legal, tax, accounting and economic point of view. The analytical part then analyzes past due claims of a designated subject. Based on the gathered information, suggestions on more effective collection of claims are introduced.

Zhodnocení využití koní plemene český teplokrevník v soutěžních disciplínách skoky, drezura a všestrannost
Čermáková, Veronika
This bachelor thesis deals with the usage of the Czech Warmblood horse breed in competitive disciplines of show jumping, dressage and eventing. The thesis comprises of breeding of the Czech Warmblood, its recent and past usage and also contains descriptions of its characteristics, observed properties and breeding goals. Furthermore, the history, rules and judging of particular competitions are also being dealt with. The last chapter discuss the utilization of the Czech Warmblood breed in particular competitions, moreover, significant contests and successful riders and horses representing the Czech Republic abroad are further mentioned as well. Statistics show that the numbers of horses are constantly increasing. In the Czech Republic during the year 1955 there were 2 134 horses competing. Comparing to year 2015, the numbers increased to 5 059 racing horses. The popularity of the Czech Warmblood also grows rapidly as it represented 40.3 % of all breeds that competed in 2015. That is almost a half. In comparison, the Slovakian Warmblood represented 9.1 % and the English Warmblood was represented by 4.8 %. The Czech Warmblood outnumbered the other breeds also in 2008 and 2014. The representation was 40 % in 2008 and 42.5 % in 2014. Czech Warmblood is mostly used in disciplines of show jumping and eventing. In 2008 in the category show jumping, the Czech Warmblood was represented by 56 % of a hundred of horses and the number in the category eventing is 42 % of a hundred of horses. Nevertheless, foreign breeds are growing in popularity as well. Best examples of these horse breeds are the Oldenburg horse, the Hanoverian horse, the Belgian Warmblood, the Irish Hunter or the Holsteiner horse.
