Active noise cancellation
Bulva, Ondřej ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Balogh, Jaroslav (advisor)
This project deals with problems of active noise cancellation. The first part focuses on the understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the human hearing. Furthermore, the understanding of the basic principles of acoustics, distribution of sound, and his generating. The important part is introduction to the issue of noise in the environment. The second part is dedicated to device design. The aim of this work was to design and construct device for active noise cancellation. Designed and assembled were two versions of the device for active noise cancellation. The problems associated with achieving the perfect noise cancellation is analyzed at the end of the work in detail together with the results of active noise canceling each version of the device.
Uninterruptible Power Supply
Kučera, Josef ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Fedra, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the proposal for an appropriate source of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) to the school server UBMI where is currently installed HIS (hospital information system) CLINICOM Corporate SMS. UPS should have ensure the protection of data being unfinished, secure off site and to inform the line voltage failure.
Advanced Data Mining in Cardiology
Mézl, Martin ; Provazník, Ivo (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this master´s thesis is to analyse and search unusual dependencies in database of patients from Internal Cardiology Clinic Faculty Hospital Brno. The part of the work is theoretical overview of common data mining methods used in medicine, especially decision trees, naive Bayesian classifier, artificial neural networks and association rules. Looking for unusual dependencies between atributes is realized by association rules and naive Bayesian classifier. The output of this work is a complex system for Knowledge discovery in databases process for any data set. This work was realized with collaboration of Internal Cardiology Clinic Faculty Hospital Brno. All programs were made in Matlab 7.0.1.
Scheduling System in Healthcare
Janíčková, Natália ; Kolářová, Jana (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
The Bachelor thesis is dedicated to expert scheduling systems in healthcare. The thesis describes all parts of system design: algorithm, software tools used in a process, and the developed application itself. The system developed in this thesis generates a schedule of the services that respect requirements given by law, employer, and also employees in the healthcare organizations. Application outputs involve basic overviews for employees and employers.
Control and monitoring of parameters in microfluidic systems
Meloun, Jan ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Čmiel, Vratislav (advisor)
This thesis discusses the construction of Microfluidic systems for a microscope. The theoretical part of this thesis deals with cell and its survival in the environment. Furthermore, light, light’s behavior and optical spectral analysis in some methods is discussed. Also, the use of the development platform Arduino with wireless data transfer for data visualization is mentioned. Methods for measuring pH are mentioned as well. The practical part is dedicated to the construction of the Microfluidic system with the use of Arduino, smart mobile devices and a developed mobile application including controlling liquid flow with the measured data visualization.
Evaluation of patient dose in mammography
Polášková, Markéta ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Kolářová, Jana (advisor)
Breast cancer presents serious epidemiological problem, in result of which die more than 2 000 czech women every year. Screening mammography is one of the most expanded and most effective examinations for early detection of this desease but one has to take into account an inconsiderable risk connected with the procedure based on X-ray ionizing radiation. This diploma thesis deals with evaluation of the dose absorbed by the tissue. It contains the description of evaluation of the average dose in glandular tissue on PMMA phantom, as well as results of the measurements on conventional and digital mammograph. A data file with exposure parameters from mammography screening is included and interpreted. Also the Monte Carlo method was used for the dose evaluation, the thesis contains the brief description of the method, concept of analysis model in mammography and results of simulations.
Pressure monitor for microfluidic systems
Romaňák, Adam ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Čmiel, Vratislav (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with measuring pressure in microfluidic systems. The theoretical part of the work is devoted to microfluidics, pressure in liquids, pressure measurement, distribution of pressure sensors, and their specifications. Then follows the hardware and software solution of the measuring system for measuring the pressure in the microfluidic system using microprocessor technology. The practical part covers the hardware and software implementation of the measuring system.
Magnetotherapeutic device for Child Neurology
Walek, Petr ; Rozman, Jiří (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
Project Magnetotherapeutic device for Child Neurology in his forepart paies medical use of Pulsatile Magnetic Field. Summaries a therapeutic effects of field which is interacting with biotic issue and determines which of those effects are acceptable for treatment of Infantile Paralysis. Below it describes single Bio-Parametres of Pulsatile Magnetic Field and analyses reasons and effects of Infantile Paralysis. In second part is described a block diagram of magnetotherapeutic device for treatment of Infantile Paralysis. Described is principle of function of blocks. In third part is defined circuit solving of controlling, supervisory and generating part of magnetotherapeutic device. Function and wiring of components is described in detail. There is also created a Printed Circuit Board. Device is controlled by three microcontrollers, therefore there are described flowcharts and controlling programs for microcontrollers.
Innovative tool for removing bad pronunciation of the letter "R"
Rexová, Natálie ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Harabiš, Vratislav (advisor)
The purpose of this final thesis is to find out about Speech Therapy and to design a device which would help with oscillation of human tongue when the sound r is pronounced. To better understand this subject first part of this thesis takes interest in evolution and physiology of human speech. Next the most common articulation disorder Dyslalia is named and methods for treating Dyslalia are described. In practical part the device for Speech Therapy is designed and created. It is based on frequency of human tongue oscillations and it helps to correct difficulties with sound r articulation. This prototype uses electric motor which is controlled by Arduino platform. Its rotational motion is converted to linear through mechanical construction simulating crank mechanism.
