Influence of makroelements from food on DNA and epigenetic profile
Veselý, Zdeněk ; Kouřilová, Xenie (referee) ; Brázda, Václav (advisor)
The macroelements contained in food have an important function for the human body. They are involved in several of biochemical reactions in the body and their abundance can prevent serious diseases. The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis describes the function of minerals in the human body, the function of DNA and epigenetic mechanisms such as DNA methylation or histone modification. The influence of nutrition and function of selected macroelements – sodium, magnesium, calcium, potassium on epigenetic modifications and on the stability of G-quadruplexes was described. The aim of the experimental part of this work was to study the effect of these substances on DNA structures in vitro and to prepare them experimentally for in vivo studies.

The study shows, which techniques is the most common and which is the most successfully in elite judo competitions. These variables were studied in all weight categories both men and women and the time of fight were studied as well. Methods: In study was used observation method in four elite judo competitions. I observed frequency of selected techniques and their scoring. These data was converted on percentage use and percentage of success for all selected techniques. Data was analysis by ANOVA. Results: I found that uchi-mata is very often techniques. In the middle part of fight the competitors the most often attacks and the most often scores. The differences between weight categories was detected, however, I did not recognize distinct trend. I did found significant differences between men and women nor in frequency neither in success of selected techniques. Keywords: judo, uchi-mata, o-goshi, tai-otoshi, elite competitions
West Berlin and Willy Brandt
Cimalová, Natalie ; Veselý, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Dubský, Zbyněk (referee)
Willy Brandt belongs to one of the most significant and popular political figures of the 20th century. His name is inextricably linked to the West Berlin, peacekeeping, defense of freedom, and the constant fight for social justice. Willy Brandt witnessed the Berlin blockade which started in June 1948. Several years later, in 1958, he had to face a difficult challenge in form of the First Berlin Crisis, and in August 1961, he had to promptly react to the construction of the Berlin Wall. This thesis analyzes reactions of Willy Brandt to these crises, and with the use of e.g. results of opinion polls and the contemporary media reports, it proves that his popularity in this period of time significantly increased. The thesis also provides evidence that Willy Brandt was not only able to ensure the viability of West Berlin, but also its economic and cultural boom and secure its international position.
