Mathematical model of the 1.5TSI engine
Michalička, Matúš ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the creation of a mathematical model of an internal combustion engine in Matlab or Simulink using built-in libraries. The thesis also includes a detailed analysis of two already created models, which are found in the examples of the program used. The analysis summarizes the different approaches to the creation of mathematical models, their possibilities, and the method of calculation. The thesis further deals with the construction of a mathematical model of an internal combustion engine. The development of the model is followed by measurements done on a specified 1.5 TSI internal combustion engine. Finally, the simulation results of the developed model are directly compared with the measurement results.
Engine head designed to burn M100 fuel
Beran, Matouš ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the M100 fuel and the modification of a 13 litre diesel engine head. In order to make the thesis successful research of the properties of M100 fuel was carried out. For the diesel engine, the location of the spark plug had to be found and then a suitable spark plug had to be selected. Furthermore, the engine head had to be modified for the properties of M100 fuel. The work is divided into the properties of the M100 fuel, selecting a suitable spark plug, and modifying the engine head and piston. A model is also created for the given solution in Lotus Engine Simulation.
Mathematical model of the start of a racing vehicle on an unpaved surface
Mathematical model of the mass of the intake air into the internal combustion engine
Sikarenko, Ivan ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
The thesis presents a study of the creation of a mathematical model of the mass of air intake into an internal combustion engine using MATLAB Simulink environment. To achieve this objective, existing methods of measuring the mass of the flowing air were studied and analyzed, of which the method based on the use of the volumetric efficiency map proved to be the most suitable. Experimental data was obtained on a test bench, then the measurement results were correctly interpreted to build a model in MATLAB Simulink environment. The model validation showed that the maximum deviation of the calculation from the MAF sensor data is 2.4%, however, the accuracy of the model can be improved by performing further tests to complete the volumetric efficiency map.
Analysis of the crank mechanism of a two-stroke engine
Matyáš, David ; Píštěk, Václav (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
This diploma thesis is a comparison of two versions of the crank mechanism of the Jawa 350 two-stroke engine. The diploma thesis if prefaced by researching the design solutions of multi-cylinder two-stroke engines with examples of their use. The following is a description of the theoretical properties of the two examined crank mechanisms in terms of inertial effects. For both engine concepts, the engine performance characteristics is measured and compared to each other. The engine with modified crankshaft is subjected to a pressure indication, which serves as one of the inputs to the strength analysis of the crankshaft. This is done by a combination of MBS simulation, FEM analysis and calculation of fatigue safety factor by LSA analytic method.
Charge Efficiency of a Gasoline Turbocharged Engine
Holas, Tomáš ; Böhm, Michael (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of volumetric efficiency of a gasoline turbocharged engine. The first part of this thesis is devoted to research on this topic. In the second part of the thesis an analysis of data from a 1.5 TSI engine from the Volkswagen group line-up obtained during the WLTP test was performed. This analysis was achieved by the means of creating regression models on the measured data and comparing their results. The result of this analysis was the determination of the main ordinarily measured parameters on which the volumetric efficiency depends.
