The concept of colors in the interwar novel The Diary of Čarnojević by Miloš Crnjanski
Jočić, Aleksandra ; Mikušiak, Igor (advisor) ; Otčenášek, Jaroslav (referee)
This paper discusses the symbolism of color in Miloš Crnjanski's novel called The Diary of Čarnojević. The novel itself is set in the context of World War I, which the author himself experienced. The Diary of Čarnojević is a text that reflects on World War I from an avant-garde position with minimal distance; the theme of this event is thus a central motif throughout the novel, which is also reflected in the symbolism and use of color. The thesis focuses on color, looking for and describing its central motifs (if they were identified for a given color) and determining whether they are used merely as descriptive or whether they influence the text enough to allow for a new interpretation of the context or events. This thesis aims to highlight the author's perception of the colors in question and outline another possible interpretation of the novel. A summary of all the colors that appear in the text is presented, as well as all the words that are described as colored. In this way, the reader will be better able to grasp the primary motifs of color and possibly uncover those that are not so prominent and are lost in the text itself. The aim, therefore, is not only to clarify the author's use of color in this text and the system he employs in working with it, but also to encourage readers of the novel...

(in English): This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of constitution and artistic initiative of the so-called Novi Sad Neo-avantgarde generation in the 1960s and 1970s and emphasizes the performativeness of their activities. Vojvodina, with its tradition of multiculturalism and its centre in Novi Sad, same as the international socio-political climate of the 1960s created an environment for the art and social expression of the new generation of artists who stood out against the prevailing modernist discourse in culture and the bureaucratization and institutionalization of cultural activities of that time. The most radical demands for the democratization of culture culminated between years 1968-1972 and came from the cultural and artistic circles in Novi Sad, which were formed mainly around the cultural centre "Tribina mladih" and the literary magazines "Polja" and Hungarian-language "Új Symposion". Based on primary and secondary sources, the thesis analyses and summarizes the basic research and perception of this period and the specifics of individual artistic expressions of this so-called "Other Line".

Ejubovič, Denis ; Otčenášek, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Mikušiak, Igor (referee)
Augustin (Tin) Ujević (1891/1955) belongs to the most important Croatian poets. This thesis proposes to think of Ujević's life, work and view of world against background of his poetry from the 1930s and first half od 1940s by the year 1945, when the regime of then Yugoslavia forbade him to publish. During this period he published two anthologies of poetry, Auto na korzu (1932) and Ojađeno zvono (1933), both of which form skeleton of this work, and as well two collections of essays, Skalpel kaosa (1938) and Ljudi za vratima gostionice (1938); both of them have been keystones of study of Ujević's contemplations about literature and life. Theoretical and metodological resource of this work is interpretation in the sense of hermeneutical philosophy of W. Dilthey, H. G. Gadamer and P. Ricoer.
