MATOUŠEK, Jan
This diploma thesis deals with the problem of the drinking-regime keeping in case of patients in hospices and in case of seniors living on their own. The phrase 'drinking regime' means correct fluid supplement which is necessary for a human body. It is the main way to recover the daily fluid loss. The intake of fluids is essential at any age, though even more essential it is at the old age, when the human body encounters considerable natural decrease in amount of fluids and what is more, when a man also loses the feeling of thirst. To stay healthy and in a good shape, it is necessary to maintain a balance between the intake and expenditure of fluids during a day. From this point of view, it is important to have a regular fluid intake during a day - especially to drink sth. before one starts to feel thirsty.
Transport system modelling
MATOUŠEK, Jan
This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of computer modelling and simulation of systems, and specifically transport system modelling. This project utilizes multi-agent approach to design traffic flow model in a restricted road system. Designed model is afterwards created in the AnyLogic software tool. Experiments investigating changes of traffic flow are performed with this model. Results of the experiments can be seen on visualization of road network or on traffic load charts.

The effect of different oxygen saturation on feed intake and growth of pikeperch (Sander lucioperca) in intensive culture.
MATOUŠEK, Jan
This diploma thesis is focused on culture of pikeperch under controlled conditions and tested the optimal environmental conditions for their good growth and survival. The aim of this work was to test the effect of different oxygen saturation on survival, growth, feed intake, feed conversion rate and condition of pikeperch Pikeperch (mean body weight 10.3 g; n=810) habituated to artificial feed were placed in culture tank of the same volume of water and environmental conditions. Fish were fed ad-libitum. Three different oxygen saturations were tested in triplicate: normoxia with saturation of 85-95% O2, hypoxia with saturation of 55-65% O2 and hyperoxia with saturation of 145-155% O2. The experiment lasted 82 days and was divided into five periods. Biometric measurements of fish were performed at the end of each period. Cumulative survival, fish growth, amount of received feed, specific growth rate and condition factor were used for evaluation of our results. The results showed the positive effect of hyperoxia on feed intake and growth of fish. Slower growth was observed in hypoxia. The mean weight gain for the whole experiment was followed: normoxia 28.2 g, hyperoxia 37.7 g and hypoxia 22.9 g.
Intensive breeding of juvenile perches (Perca fluviatilis) in control conditions with special focus on density of perches
MATOUŠEK, Jan
Perch is one of the important species reared in intensive conditions. This metod of breeding is performed in recirculating systems of intensive rearing of fish mainly in Western Europe. The aim of these breeding is to produce the high quality market of perch throughout the year. In order to achieve that breeding are effective, it is necessary to ensure rapid growth and high survival of perch. The aim of this study was to determine the effective use of rearing areas of these systems. It means to find the optimum density of fishes in rearing tanks.
The application of opioids in crews of medical rescue service
MATOUŠEK, Jan
The aim set by this bachelor thesis is to survey the application of opioids in the emergency crews. To meet this objective, I posed two research questions. Research question Nr. 1: Are patients informed about the application of opioids? Research question Nr. 2: Do paramedics find out the effects of opioids administered to patients? Patients are entitled by law to information about administering any medicaments, according to Health Care of the Population Act. The back check of effects of medicaments administered is important for the check-up of the efficiency of the dose administered as well as the danger of undesired effects. Opioid substances are derived from morphine. Morphine, which is found in the juice of opium poppy, has been used throughout history to produce euphoric effects and especially as an analgesic. The reason for using analgesics is pain, and for that reason I explain here what pain is, how it is classified, measured and especially how it is soothed. Opioids are substances used for soothing severe pains for which non-opioid analgesics are insufficient. However, using these substances may result in addiction, and therefore manipulation with them is strictly controlled by law. To achieve the objective I conducted quantitative research, and data were collected by a secondary data analysis, the method of questioning and interview technique. Drawing on the research results that were obtained by observing paramedics and from interviews with their patients, it appears that it is necessary to inform patients that they are being administered an opioid substance. There are exceptional states when patients are not able to perceive such information and their consent to administering the medicine can be supposed. It was observed that paramedics make a back proof of the effects of the medicaments administered, and it was also found out that there are paramedics who, in the event that the dose of medicament is inefficient, do nothing more.
