Acute kidney injury in sepsis: phatophysiological and therapeutical aspects

Sepsis and septic shock remain major cause of mortality in non-coronary intenisve care units. Prognosis of septic patiens worsens further in case of concomitant acute kidney injury. Pathophysiological pathways leading to renal dysfunction in sepsis remain unclear despite of enormous experimental and clinical research. Similarly, the role of extracorporeal blood purification techniques as an adjunctive treatment in sepsis is highly controversial. The aim of our study was to dynamically assess renal haemodynamic, microvascular and metabolic responses in a porcine clinically relevant model of septic shock. The same experimental model was used in experiments elucidating potential benefit effects of two distinct haemopurification methods on different biological responses to infectious insult.

Functionalized nanofiber system for accelerated regeneration of internal tissues Abstract Functionalization can adjust the properties of nanofibers prepared by electrospinning to best replace the missing extracellular matrix in the healing wound. In the rabbit intestinal anastomoses, functionalization of nanofibers by cryogenic fractionation has proven to be crucial. While the use of functionalized PVA and chitosan nanofiber membranes led to intestinal strictures and severe inflammation, further functionalization of PVA and chitosan nanofibers by their cryogenic fractionation led to the possibility of reducing the polymer dose, which significantly reduced the inflammatory response and significantly increased the biocompatibility of the material used. The application of fractionated nanofibers increased the fraction of microvessels, fibroblasts and collagen, which resulted in an increase in the biomechanical strength of healed anastomoses. The functionalization of the polycaprolactone nanofibers by special adhesion to the polypropylene mesh made it possible to use them as a support for the healing of the fascia in the abdominal wall of pigs. Analýza rizik projektu

Cílem diplomové práce bylo: - spočítat tzv. Earnings-at-Risk projektu realizovaného firmou Chemoprojekt v různých jeho fázích pomocí programu Crystal Ball, - stanovit, jaká rizika ovlivňují nejvíce úspěšnost projektu, - z hlediska kurzového rizika posoudit možnosti jeho zajištění. Ve dvou různých fázích projektu (v době podpisu kontraktu a 11 měsíců po něm) vyšlo statistickou analýzou historických dat přibližně stejné EaR, cca 720 tis. eur. V souvislosti s vývojem projektu došlo i ke změně v pořadí významnosti rizikových faktorů. Pro zajištění proti kurzovým rizikům by měla firma využít následujících produktů: 1. Calyon banka ? Protected Accumulated Boosted Forward, 2. ING - Zero-cost opční struktura forward extra, 3. ING - klasický forward.
