Specificity of the protection of economic competition in the EU in the field of energy industry

This Master's Thesis deals with the EU competition law enforcement towards undertakings in the energy industry. The attention of the thesis is devoted only to the part of the energy industry, gas and electricity sectors, as the EU decided to liberalize these markets in the mid-1990s with the aim of gradually transform them into the single European energy market, which will be fully open to the competition. The aim of the thesis is to answer research question, what the specifics of the EU competition law enforcement towards undertakings in the energy industry are. The first chapter deals with the fundamental competition law rules, which are analysed in the thesis within the energy industry. These are prohibition of the agreements which have as their object or effect the restriction of competition (regulated in the Art. 101 TFEU) and prohibition of the abuse of dominant position (regulated in the Art. 102 TFEU). Besides these rules, which are enforced ex post, the chapter also deals with the control of merger of undertakings by the Commission as an ex ant competition law enforcement towards notified mergers. The aim of my graduation these is implementation of quality management system according to standard ISO 9001:2009 in company LEDA Slovakia spol. s r.o. At the beginning I attend to importance of quality and its control. Next parts acquaint reader with particular chapters of standard, with their interpretations and fullfilment of all requirements. Fundamental part is practical implementation in real company. Established documentation includes Quality manual, documented procedures required by the standard and other documents determined by the organization to be neccessary.

Protection of personal data in the Schengen information system

This bachelor thesis deals with the protection of personal data in the current Schengen information system. The thesis presents an overview of internal and external controls of the SIS by analysing the foundation documents. Inseparable parts of the thesis are examples from practice, for example the functioning of the SIS in Austria or activities of Joint Supervisory Authority that is responsible for personal data protection and their safety in the SIS. The thesis is divided into five chapters and its aim is to assess, whether the SIS provides such a personal data protection that it is not necessary to reform and upgrade its controls in the future.

Produktový a provozní management v LEDA Slovakia s.r.o.

Pod provozní management spadají v určité míře jiné činnosti v závislosti na typu výroby, přetržitosti výrobního procesu, charakteru technologie a v neposlední řadě na formě organizace. Ráda bych ve své bakalářské práci přiblížila provozní management ve vybrané organizaci. Jde o společnost s ručením omezením LEDA Slovakia, kterou vlastní a řídí můj otec. Je to malý podnik zabývající se převážně kovoobráběním, který má v současnosti šest zaměstnanců. Výroba je kusová a na zakázku, výrobní proces je přerušovaný a probíhají v něm mechanické procesy. Chci využít této příležitosti a nahlédnout pod pokličku každodenních úkolů a problémů. Plánuji strávit několik dnů ve firmě a sledovat jak se v praxi provozní management uskutečňuje. Chtěla bych se zaměřit na standardizaci a na její využití v tak malém podniku. Vím, že v hromadné výrobě je její uplatnění obrovské. No v tak malých podmínkách může být její využití omezené. Kladu si za cíl určit v jaké míře se dá využít a jak je její využití výhodné v LEDA.
