Changes to traditional way of life in soběslavsko-veselská Blata

The primary focus of this dissertation is how the traditional way of life in the czech environment and its specific form of Soběslavsko Veselí-Blat changed over time. This work focuses on the traditional livelihood of local people, who made a living through agriculture until the Czech Rural Collectivisation. The work also focuses on the changes in agriculture during specific local development and placing emphasis on 19th and 20th century when there were very substantial changes, not only in the methods of agricultural production and technology, but also in the way of life of local peasants. The livelihood of the local population also played an important role in peat extraction. The different functions were especially modified during the 20th century. Another focus of my work is folk culture and its changes over time, again focusing primarily on the 19th and 20th centuries. Local folk culture was extremely unique compared to the surrounding regions, as it always emphasized the importance of work. The richness and uniqueness of local folk culture is highlighted in their folk costumes, which were commonly used and preserved during the early 20th century.
