Application of psychology in personnel management

It is evident from the name of my thesis that I am trying to connect through two disciplines - psychology and personnel management. My effort is to identify and show the application of particular psychology branches that are somehow connected with Personnel Management. I have chosen this topic, because I am interested in both of these disciplines and I am convinced that every theory should have utilization in practice - here in practice of personnel management. My thesis is divided into three parts. The first chapter brings out general problems of personnel management, explanation of concepts and making clear who really is involved in this process. Very important is a question of a status of personnel management in the whole company structure. The status has a great impact on the real personnel work. Second part concerns several psychology disciplines, which are in my opinion the most utilizable in personnel work. It is industrial and organizational psychology and personality psychology. I write about its history, concepts, main figures and particular knowledge. There is a lot of theories bounded with personnel work (e.g. motivational theories), but I am not describing every theory and I am not enumerating all of them.
