Description of drilling machines

One part of this thesis concerns with recherche of drilling machines and in the other is made a description and a division of drilling machines of current production. This thesis describes suitability for use of those machines and the characteristics of individual types of machines. Chosen Czech and foreign manufacturer is listed by every type of machine together with one representative of given type. Given representative is pictured and a short characteristic is present together with basic technical parameters.

The goal of this work is a design of a hydraulic drilling unit and a manipulator for the PSU 9000 machine. The introduction describes the use of underground mining drilling machines and mentions some of the current solutions. The second part contains the design and calculations of individual components. In the final part, the finite-element method is used for calculation of the bearing parts of the construction.

The subject of this bachelor’s thesis is the design of a drilling machine. The first part consists of a research in the field of drilling machines from the point of view of their construction. It also includes a research of machine-tools spindles and their structural parts. The second part focuses on the design of the spindle according to the selected parameters, including the necessary calculations. The thesis includes spindle assembly drawing and 3D model created with Autodesk Inventor 2012 software.
