Energy demand of exercise on stable and unstable surfaces
Muniová, Zuzana ; Jebavý, Radim (advisor) ; Blažek, Dušan (referee)
Title: Energy expenditure of exercise on stable and unstable surfaces Objectives: The aim of this study was to investigate the difference between energy expenditure of exercise on stable and unstable surfaces. Methods: Ten athletes (aged 27.4 ± 2.67), current students or graduates from Faculty of physical education and sport at Charles University, took part in this study. The study was an intragroup randomized experiment. Energy expenditure was determined by spiroergometry based on inhaled O2 and exhaled CO2. The metabolic analyzer MetaMax 3B was used to determine respiratory parameters. The measured data were analyzed through basic statistical operations. Results: The highest average energy expenditure of 252,6 kJ was measured for dynamic exercises on unstable surfaces. The value for the average energy expenditure on stable surfaces was 225,7 kJ. This was followed by energy expenditure of static exercise on unstable surfaces, where the average value was 205,4 kJ. Probands showed the lowest energy expenditure during static exercise on stable surfaces, where the average value was 177,5 kJ. The average difference between static exercise on unstable surfaces and static exercise on stable surfaces was 15,9 %. The difference between dynamic exercise on unstable surfaces and dynamic exercise on stable...
Affecting the efficiency of stimulation a strenght endurance through exercies on unstable surface
Jebavý, Radim ; Perič, Tomáš (advisor) ; Zháněl, Jiří (referee) ; Turek, Milan (referee)
Affecting the efficiency of stimulation a strenght endurance through exercies on unstable surface In our work we sought to verify the affecting the efficiency of a Strength programme of exercise on unstable surfaces for stimulation of strength endurance abilities, compared to a similar didactic programme conducted on stable surfaces, thus creating an alternative choice for coaches, teachers, and sports instructors. A major element of the didactic process is the quality of the strength training programme on stable and unstable surfaces. When evaluating the overall results of the tests before and after the experimental programme, we come to be of the opinion that the experimental programme manifested itself positively in effectiveness of stimulating strength abilities. The strength programme had an influence on increasing the persistence of strength in dynamic and static regimens. In the case of a strengthening programme on unstable surfaces there was a tendency towards greater growth in the number of repetitions as opposed to programme on a stable base at the beginning of the programme in the case of exercise in a dynamic regimen. Keywords: effectiveness, strength endurance preparation, unstable surfaces, stabilisation system.

Physiotherapy for patients with low back pain in the lumbar spine with the present use of unstable surfaces
ŘEZÁČOVÁ, Lucie
This bacheolor thesis deals with the physiotherapy in patients with low back pain in the lumbar spine with the present use of unstable surfaces. Low back pain, or low back pain syndrome is mark for pains in different parts of spine. These dificulties are very common reason for doctor´s visits and also one of the most common causes of incapacity or work. The number of these patients is still rising and most serious is, that these problems affect more and more the younger generation too. Back pain is so common, because they have many causes. Among one of them we can include way of today´s life, change of lifestyle and we can say that a certain comfort of the population. The aim of the theoretical part of this thesis was to describe the low back pains, their causes, examination and therapy, including several options for physiotherapy of low back pains, which is also include the use of unstable surfaces. The aim of the practical part of this thesis was to map effect of exercises using unstable surfaces for specific patients with low back pain in the lumbar spine, which was achieved through the use of qualitive research, using four case reports, which consisted of four patients with low back pain in the lumbar spine. For each of them was performed eight therapies in which were used the unstable surfaces. The results have been assessed according to the input and output kinesiology analysis. In some patients, there were irregularities or ommisions of exercise, or inappropriate ergonomics activities and this has also been affected by pain, which drew less than in patients who practiced regularly and tried to follow the ergonomics of work. Therefore, you can say with certainty, that if you experience regular exercise, to improve the health status of the patient's improvement of including their mental state, thanks to the disappearance of pain and related restrictions in carrying out certain activities.
