The Roofing of the Sport Hall

The main purpose of this work is a design of timber frame roofing structure for multi-purpose sports hall. The building has rectangular shape 50 meters long, 35 meters wide and 16 meters high. Main support element is glulam timber two-hinged arch. Structure consists of glued laminated timber elements, as well as solid-sawn timber and steel ones. This document includes design, internal force enumertion ans structural assessment, including joints. Dlubal RFEM 5 structural analysis and design software has been utilized in the process. Drawings of the structure are enclosed.

The content of the master’s thesis is a design and evaluation of the timber construction of roofed footbridge for pedestrians and cyclists across the river Bělá in Jeseník in two different options of structure. The final version is solve in detail. It is a bridge with a span of 32 m and width of 4 m. The supporting structure is made of two two-hinged arch of glued laminated timber with lower deck and steel suspender. The bridge deck consists of two main girders, cross beams and stringers. Roof is from arches, roof beams, steel columns and cross beams. The stability of the whole construction is provided with horizontal longitudinal bracing in the plane of the deck and in the plane of the roof. The calculations are processed according to Czech technical norms ČSN EN.

The content of this diplom is about design and assesment of a steel footbridge for pedestrians and cyclists across the river Ostravice. In an introduction of the work are compared two possible options of footbridge structures.and then the appropriate one is processed in detail. The chosen variant is made of two parabolic arches tilted to each other on which is suspended deck by suspenders. In a static aspect the main loadbearing beams are two-hinged arches. The bridge deck consists of two steel beams and floor beams which are composited with a reinforced concrete slab. The span length is 80 m and archs camber is 9,12m. The main material of the structural elements is steel S355.
