Design of the vacuum treadmill
Havránek, Jakub ; Chorý, Tomáš (referee) ; Křenek, Ladislav (advisor)
The diploma thesis concerns with the design of the vac- uum treadmill. The aim was to create a vision of this machine for the near future. As the final result we en- counter a brand new conception, consisting of the outer stable base, inner tilting base, upper frame with steel handle, control panel and airtight bellows. The design includes 3 different colour schemes. The first part of the thesis analyses the historical de- velopment and construction and design solutions. The second part describes this particular design project in detail, including its development.
Analysis of the dependence of selected ventilation and somatic parametres of adolescent footballers on the age and lenght of systematic training
PAŘÍZEK, Jakub
The aim of the bachelor thesis was to determine the values of certain ventilation and somatic parameters and to compare the results of adolescent categories U16, U17, U18 and U19 with the given standards. The footballers underwent measurements on a running ergometer in the form of a stepped run to the "vita maxima" and the Tanita BC 418 MA device at the beginning of the summer pre-season at the Laboratory of Load Diagnostics at DPSS, Univesrity of South Bohemia before the start of the 2021/2022 season. The examined somatic parameters included the BMI value and the proportion of muscle and fat mass. Ventilation parameters included maximum oxygen consumption/uptake, tidal volume, breath frequency, minute ventilation, and heart rate at the VO2peak. Footballers achieved optimal or above-average values for all parameters except the tidal volume and breath frequency, while the factual and statistical significance of the differences in values was proved for all parameters. The average of the values of the most important parameter VO2max was 59.17 ? 4.25 ml?min-1?kg-1 in category U16, 59.21 ? 3.57 ml?min-1?kg-1 in category U17, 58.44 ? 5.15 ml?min-1?kg-1 in category U18 and 59.05 ? 3.94 ml?min-1?kg-1 in category U19. The results of the work may point to above-average achieved parameters and may help to create focused training on the underdeveloped ones.
Comparison of results of spiroergometry on running and bicycle ergometer of elite regional triathletes
VÁŇA, Jan
The main aim of our work was to compare adolescent and adult elite triathletes from the South Bohemia region based on the results from the spiroergometry testing on the treadmill and bicyle. All of the tests were performed in the Lab of functional stress diagnosis at the KTVS PF JU. The testing parameters included the values of VO2max, tidal volume, minute ventilation, respiratory rate and the percentage of a body fat. Stress test were performed thanks to running ergomerer Cortex metacontrol 3 000 and a bicycle ergometer LODE Excalibrum Sport. The Tanita BC 481 MA is a bioimpendatory machine that was used to get informations about a body composition. One of the monitored values was the level of VO2max which was higher in adolescents than in adults. The values in the adults were 67,8 ? 6,3 ml.min-1.kg-1 on the bicycle and 69,2 ? 4,9 ml.min-1.kg-1 on the treadmill. In other monitored ventilation parameters, except a tidal volume on the bicycle, we measured higher values in the adults. The vaule of the VO2max was higher in the both categories and for this reason we suppose that triathletes are rather more runners than cyclists. The next thing we came up to is that the differences of the VO2max values are lower in the triathletes than in the runners and cyclists. The adolescent triathletes from the South Bohemia region have higher values of the VO2max than the adults despite their incomplete physical development.
Alternative rehabilitation methods in therapy of Parkinson's disease
Tupá, Veronika ; Pánek, David (advisor) ; Malá, Jitka (referee)
TITLE Alternative rehabilitation methods in therapy of Parkinson's disease OBJECTIVE The aim of work is to assemble new findings relating the rehabilitation of people with Parkinson disease. Furthermore to elaborate these information in form of literature search to allow their use in common practice. METHODS Up till now there were accomplished many studies which dealt with less common ways of therapy, but didn't find use in common practice. In this work these studies will be presented (in form of literature search). This work will be divided into two parts, where the first will sum up the issue of Parkinson's disease and the second part will deal with the alternative methods. Into this part studies detecting effects of dance therapy, tai-chi, qigong, treadmill training and box on symptoms of Parkinson's disease were chosen. Besides that, in discussion I plan on mentioning conventional therapy (rehabilitation) in Parkinson's disease as well as some guidelines written up in the Czech Republic. KEY WORDS Parkinson's disease, rehabilitation, physiotherapy, dance, therapy, tai chi, taiji, treadmill, gait
History of village Koloděje until 1850. Insight to life of rural population
Kuprová, Karolina ; Foltýn, Dušan (advisor) ; Charvátová, Kateřina (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with history of buildings constructed on the dominican lands in village Koloděje until year 1850. The aim of this thesis is, based on analysis of excerped written sourcices and literature, to discribe the origin and the development of buildings as well as to peek into the life of the local population and especially approach their strategy of paying off the tax and treadmill burdens. This thesis compares land taxes of houses on formerly rustic and dominican lands and also compares the tax burdens of houses on dominican lands in Koloděje and neighboring Běchovice.
Comparison of results of spiroergometry on running and bicycle ergometer of athletes with different specialization
MARKO, David
A choice between a running or bicycle ergometer is not possible in every laboratory. Significant differences may appear in measuring results of ergometers with different load specificity. The aim of our thesis is to find out about the differences of values during the spiroergometric test at the running and bicycle ergometer in sportspeople with different specialization, adolescent categories of mountain cyclists and medium and long track runners. To carry out all the testing, the Functional Load Diagnostic Laboratory belonging to the Department of Sport Studies at the University of South Bohemia. All cyclists and runners underwent both tests during three days having an equal physical condition. The tested parameters included the VO2max value, breath volume, minute ventilation, breathing frequency, maximal heart frequency, and maximal watt performance. Our results proved significant differences of all examined parameters in runners. There was a significant difference in cyclists´ results noted in the following parameters: VO2max, breathing volume, minute ventilation, and watt performance. The average values of the most important parameter, VO2max, in runners, was equal to 60,6 ? 4,24 ml.min-1.kg-1 while running, and 56,0 ? 5,34 ml.min-1.kg-1 while cycling, however, cyclists reached the value of 56,6 ? 5,16 ml.min-1.kg-1 when running, and 61,30 ? 4,47 ml.min-1.kg-1 when cycling. The results of our thesis have proven factually as well as statistically significant differences of measuring results in both running and bicycle ergometer, depending on the type of exercise.
The Effect of Alcohol Ingestion on Maximal Treadmill Performance
Smrčková, Zuzana ; Strejcová, Barbora (advisor) ; Česák, Petr (referee)
Title: The Effect of Alcohol Ingestion on Maximal Treadmill Performance Objectives: The aim of this study was to assessed the effect of alcohol consumption before sport performance on the maximal running test and values of respiratory parameters. Methods: This study attended 7 girls age 21,3 ± 1,0 years which are active in sports. They had been running at the treadmill first time after intake of juice with alcohol in relation with their fat free mass and secondly only after intake of juice. This is called Switch replication design. Independent variable was ingestion of alcohol and dependent variables were maximal relative oxygen consumption, heart rate, minute ventilation and respiratory exchange ratio. Alcoholic history of each participant was detected. For this study were used treadmill ergometer Quasar (Cosmos, Germany), the metabolic analyser Metalyzer (Cortex, Germany) and the sporttester Polar. Results: Paired t-test was used for evaluation of the results. The measured values were not statistically significant with the level of significance 0,05. The measured values were individually evaluated in the same time and increase of minute ventilation was confirmed at 5 tested girls otherwise the effect of alcohol on maximal relative oxygen consumption and heart rate was not proved. The alcohol did...
