Stochastic finite element method to solve 2d problems

The thesis focuses on programming of algorithms based on the finite element method (FEM) and the stochastic finite element method (SFEM) used for deformation and stress analysis of truss and plane stress problems. All the codes are developed using a free to use program PyCharm. For both trusses and plane stress problems, the algorithm is illustrated with a simple problem and verified on a more complex one. The results from the FEM calculations are validated using results from ANSYS Workbench. The computed displacements and reaction forces are equal to ANSYS results for all solved cases. There are minor deviations in the stress calculations for plane stress problems. The reason for this is unknown, as ANSYS does not provide an exact methodology for stress computing. In SFEM calculations, the values of Young’s modulus, yield strength and load forces are normally distributed. The codes are run repeatedly and based on the variability of the results the probability of failure is calculated.
L-Systems and Their Applications in Computer Graphics

This Bachelor's thesis describes deterministic context-free L-systems (D0L-systems), which function is parallel rewriting symbols in string for purpose of modeling plant-like structures, mainly plant leaves. Next it shows how to use such L-systems in computer graphics and explains usage of stochastic L-systems. They effect topology and geometry of plant by randomizing interpretation of the L-system and allow us to generate whole class of respectively different but still simile leaves. L-system interpreter is implemented in .NET framework with OpenGL library.
Management of water reservoir storage function using methods of artificial intelligence

The subject of this thesis is to control the storage function of the reservoir using artificial intelligence methods, including the construction of the appropriate control algorithm. The thesis is divided into the theoretical part and the part of the application of reservoir storage function control. The theoretical part describes the control algorithm and the prediction model. The following are basic optimization methods and artificial intelligence methods. The second part presents the historical data used for the prediction model. The following is a description of calibration and validation of the control module and evaluation of the application results. Finally, there is a comparison and summary of individual results, control algorithm and prediction model. According to the results, the control algorithm can be recommended for further investigation.

This brings the necessitate of the multi-specialized synthetic approach in searching of a relationship between the kinds of arts, and the analysis of interactions of individual project components.
