Florišová, I. Social entrepreneurship and subsidies to social enterprises in the Czech Republic. Diploma thesis. Brno: Menedel University, 2018. This thesis describes and analyzes social business and its financial support in the Czech Republic. The aim of this thesis is the preparation of a proposal for ob-taining a subsidy for a social enterprise in the Czech Republic based on the theo-retical - methodological aspects and adequate analysis. The methods of descrip-tion, analysis, synthesis and comparison are used in the thesis. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the issues related to social policy and economy and to social entrepreneurship. The practical part of the thesis analyzes the data of current social entrepreneurship and social enterprise in the Czech Republic obtained on the basis of researches by the method of desk-research and by the method of questioning through electronic questionnaire. The final part of the thesis contains a comprehensive overview of current financial support for social enterprises in the Czech Republic and the proposal for a procedure for obtaining a subsidy from the EU.

This diploma thesis is focused on the identification of key factors that are present in the outsourcing relationship between a social enterprise and companies from the corporate environment. The thesis consists of a theoretical part that focuses on the definition of important and relevant concepts and a research part that contains a qualitative and quantitative analysis of this business relationship. The results of the analysis are presented in the form of a proposal for cooperation between a social enterprise and a company from the corporate environment. The proposal points out the most significant benefits for all stakeholders.

This bachelor theses concerns itself with possible ways of making business in social agriculture in the Czech Republic. This theses is divided into two sections. The first one dives into the social agriculture concept, its current development in our country as well as abroad. This is achieved via written summary. It provides the definition of bussiness with emphasis on agribusiness and social bussiness. The second section introduces SWOT analysis aimed at the social agriculture in the Czech Republic. Based on its outcomes the suitable strategies are provided. The strategies are to help with the development of social agriculture in the Czech Republic environment in terms of its usefulness in business. The fusion of social and eco agribussiness seems to be the most promissing direction social agriculture could take. The promotion of non-prodution functions and its benefits would be especially vital for running a successful agriculture endeavour.

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate profitability and effectiveness of social enter-prise in relation to the values of ratios of liquidity, activity and leverage. With the use of cost-volume-profit analysis, recommendations are formulated for improving the efficiency of economic activities of the company, including the proposal of possible funding.

The diploma thesis is focused on the issues of the social entrepreneurship in the Czech Republic. Most importantly this work aims to propose the possibilities of sustainability of social enterprises operating in the region of Vysocina. The thesis is divided into theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part deals with the definition of basic concepts based on the legislative framework of the Czech Republic, the issue of employing people with health disability and the subsidy policy. The empirical part offers the strategic and the financial analysis and suggests the concept of sustainable social enterprise for emerging social enterprises in the Vysocina region, using the examples of good practice from both abroad and the Czech Republic.

The thesis is devoted onto social businesses in Brno. The main purpose is to analyse social enterprises and make system of recommendations for starting entrepreneurs in Brno. The theory characterizes context of social enterprises and speci-fies main institutes in the sphere of social enterprises. In the practical part will be evaluated the possibility of founding of social enterprise in the statutory city of Brno. Based on results from the survey the usable conclusions are generalized and recommendations for interested persons are phrased in generic way.

The diploma thesis deals with an evaluation of influence of social entrepreneurship tools on the social balance. The social entrepreneurship is oriented on reaching socially beneficial aims through entrepreneurial activities. It is based on the Three P principles: People, Planet, Profit, and thus it creates conditions for the sustainable development. The social balance is examined in three dimensions: Inclusion / Exclusion, Equality / Inequality and Social cohesion. Further more, theoretical links between social entrepreneurial activities and the social balance are identified on illustrative results of real social enterprises. Later on, an SROI analyses for dimensions of social balance is performed and calculated within the case study of Sdružení Neratov. It proves an impact of the social entrepreneurship on all three dimensions of the social balance. In the closing part, recommendations for the support of social entrepreneurship are formulated.

Social entrepreneurship Abstract Social entrepreneurship is a new way of providing social support that is increasingly gaining popularity. Social enterprises are popular initiatives that use market mechanisms to finance their goals that are beneficial to society. The aim of this thesis is to provide a comprehensive analysis of the phenomenon of social entrepreneurship, both its international roots for creating necessary context and especially its Czech form. It develops its topic into three thematic areas. The first one focuses on defining basic terminology of the field including the term social entrepreneurship itself, but also other terms such as social economy or third sector. It also introduces the basic conceptions of social entrepreneurship, namely European one and American one, while due to the greater relevance for Czech social entrepreneurship, more emphasis is placed on the European concept of social entrepreneurship. Last but not least, the most commonly used variation of social entrepreneurship is defined in the first chapter. Social enterprises in this subtype are called Work Integration Social Enterprises (WISE) and focus on the integration and employment of people who are disadvantaged in some way in the labour market. The bachelor thesis is focused on the evaluation of the economy of a selected organization with a social program, G-Centrum Mikulov, contributory organization. The first part of the thesis deals with methods of processing and the objectives of the work. In the other parts there is the needed theory, the analysis of costs and revenue and partly modified financial analysis. The conclusion of the bachelor thesis is the evaluation of the organization's economy and own proposals for solutions.
Economic and legal aspects of social entrepreneurship in the Czech Republic

The master’s thesis focuses on the economic and legislative aspects of social entrepreneurship in the Czech Republic. The work defines the basic theoretical basis for social entrepreneurship in the Czech Republic, describes the relationship of disabled persons to the labor market, and outlines the benefits connected to employing individuals with disabilities. The thesis further investigates the current situation in a specific sheltered workshop that is planning to expand its capacity. The conclusion of the thesis presents an evaluation of the advantages/profitability of such a project, summarizes the possible risks of entrepreneurship in the protected labor market, and offers suggested measures for the continuation of the sheltered workshop.
