Modes of regime measure and their adherence in pacients with diabetes mellitus
MAURICOVÁ, Barbora
Introduction: The bachelor's thesis focuses on the methods of regimen measures and their adherence in patients with diabetes mellitus. The theoretical part deals with the disease diabetes mellitus and its regimen measures. Diabetes mellitus is currently a widespread chronic disease and its incidence is increasing. Research is therefore important to conduct to improve education, awareness and support diabetics in adhering to the measures. Aim: The aim of the study was to find out how patients adhere to the regimen. Methodology: For this thesis, data collection was carried out using a quantitative survey method. The data was collected using a customized non-standardized questionnaire. Data collection took place were in the South Bohemian hospital in standard and intesive care wards. The questionnaire consisted of 23 questions containing identification data and focused on adherence to regimen measures in diabetic patients. The data obtained were subsequently processed into tables and graphs, on the basis of which the hypotheses were evaluated. Results: The research sample was made up by 82 respondents (100 %). The results show that 17,1 % people follow a diabetic diet, 79,3 % take isnulin regularly, 82,9 % see their doctor regularly and 45,1 % keep a diary of their glucose levels, while 50 % don´t. The results show that adherence to the regimen is influenced by educational level and also by gender. Conclusion: Adherence to regimen measures in diabetics is a very important factor for a proper quality of life and to influence the treatment of this disease. Nutrition and exercise are essential components of the regimen. The results of our research have shown that diabetics do not follow a diabetic diet very well. Adequate awareness, education and motivation are essential for better adherence. This bachelor thesis offers material summarizing the findings on the disease itself, diet, physical activity and more.
Sleeping outdoors II.
Bendák, Jan ; Kleberc, Lukáš (referee) ; Klímová, Barbora (advisor)
The work partially develops the bachelor's thesis Sleeping Outdoors, and continues with the creation of practical wooden structures for rest and sleeping. The project deals with the organization of adventure and sleepover events and further explores suitable environments for occasional and everyday sleeping outside. It motivates to reevaluate comfort and presents ways of being outside during the day and at night.
Nutrition and sport in women with gestational diabetes
Hodek, Lesana ; Starnovská, Tamara (advisor) ; Koudelková, Kateřina (referee)
This bachelor's thesis discusses the issue of gestational diabetes and the influence of the diagnosis on nutrition and exercise/sport in diagnosed women. The theoretical part discusses the pathogenesis of GDM, risk factors and recommended procedures for screening and treatment including nutritional and exercise recommendations. The results of the questionnaire survey are described in the practical part. The questionnaire focused on the complications that women with GDM go through in connection with lifestyle changes after receiving a GDM diagnosis. Part of the survey is a standardized questionnaire to determine the level of perceived stress. The main goal of the work was to define the factors in nutrition and exercise/sport that cause complications in the management of GDM for women after the diagnosis of GDM. A secondary aim of the work was to demonstrate that women with a diagnosis of GDM experience an increased stress burden based on a standardized questionnaire. These objectives are to reveal whether the standard care for women with GDM is sufficient, or whether they lack professional help in managing lifestyle changes. The results of the work showed that the current system of care for women with GDM is not sufficient and these women are dependent on seeking support and help outside the health...
Theremin Simulation Using Leap Motion
Staurovský, Maroš ; Zahrádka, Jiří (referee) ; Najman, Pavel (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is the creation and implementation of application that simulates playing the theremin by using Leap Motion sensor and MIDI protocol. This sensor allows us to detect movement of hands and recognition of gestures in the monitored area. This is  used in the aplication to simulate the same principle that is used for playing theremin. Unlike this instrument we are able to produce sound of different instruments which is accomplished by using MIDI. The Leap Motion sensor and MIDI protocol are detailed in the theoretical part of the thesis.
Motion Analysis
Hudec, Jiří ; Čmiel, Vratislav (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is dealing with how to analyze human walk with Vicon camera system. In the first chapter are described elementary ideas for gait analysis and principal methods of Vicon system. There is also discussed basic layout of cameras in the laboratory and layout of markers attached at a human body. The second chapter is also about synchronisation of multiple cameras and description of CVS format. Further, in the third chapter are discussed four algorithms created in Matlab for a description of gait analysis. In the last fourth chapter are discussed the results of the software from Matlab and comparison these results with results made in the laboratory of gait analysis.
Modeling the movement of people when organizing mass cultural events
Zelinka, Martin ; Apeltauer, Tomáš (referee) ; Okřinová, Petra (advisor)
The thesis deals with the movement of people in the event of mass events where a large number of people accumulate and thus the risks associated with problematic of so-called soft target. The study deals with the movement of people, taking into account the behavior of visitors, as well as the influence of individuals, couples or groups, as well as the possible movement of evacuated following a critical event. As the target of the analysis is the International Folklore Festival in Červený Kostelec. The aim of the work is to optimize the layout of the festival venue, adjacent areas and accompanying events in its surroundings so as to ensure maximum safety for the participants and eliminate crowd phenomena under different scenarios. The numerical model of the festival with the wider environment created by the Pathfinder software tool will serve as a basis for optimizing the solution.
User Interface for Theatre Control System
Kobza, Lukáš ; Ševcovic, Jiří (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
The topic of this bachelor's thesis is the technical equipment of theatre stage. In this work is offered the overview of stage technology and its control and furthermore the overview about user interfaces. The main goal was to create a new user interface for control system of upper and bottom machinery with the intention of application possibilities in distributed control systems with several operator stations.
Human-Computer Interaction Using Kinect
Knot, Stanislav ; Orság, Filip (referee) ; Mráček, Štěpán (advisor)
Abstract This BSc. thesis is concerned about remote control of computer using Kinect device. Sound, depth of image and image capturing is described in thesis. After reading this thesis, reader should have idea of how kinect  works, which method it uses and why it uses these. Furthermore, thesis describes design and implementation of alghoritms used in the application.
Movement of the human body
Havelková, Gabriela ; Gebauer, Kurt (referee) ; Gabriel, Michal (advisor)
All through my bachelor's studies, I chose random subjects on single or not single subjects, and as I contemplated my selections in retrospect, I discovered connections between them that were not intended. I've learned that my entire work so far has been laced with the evolution of my personality, my emotions, in certain elements. My inner struggle is evident here. ...the subjects of my works were chosen random without any discernible emotional subtext, but still when I look at them, I see sculptures depicting my inner emotional development.
Navigating with a laser scanner for promotional robot of FEEC BUT
Musálek, Martin ; Burian, František (referee) ; Florián, Tomáš (advisor)
Project solves robot navigation using two laser scanners PLS 101-312 mounted on front and back side. In first phase there was solved data transfer and their conversion to vertex coordinates, in second there was solved simulation of robot movement and writing moving algorhytm, in this phase just in ideal 2D space. According to further objectives in real 3D space (surface disparities, inclined plane, stairs, windows, bars...) the simulation is done in 3D, so it is prepared for solving these objectives. Simulation includes scan error and dynamics of movement and wheel rotation.
