Distance teaching of informatics at specialized high schools
BOBER, Patrik
This bachelor thesis deals with the mapping of distance learning in se-condary schools specializing in information technology and ICT. I conducted eight semi-structured in-depth interviews with selected IT teachers. I selected these teachers based on a Google search of suitable schools across the country. In addition, to triangulate the collected data, I conducted interviews with students who were students of these teachers at the time of the research. During the interviews, I was interested in how distance learning was conducted from the teachers' perspectives, as well as what methods were used in the course. I was also interested in what online tools the interviewees used in their teaching. I also explained the scope and methods of synchronous and asynchronous teaching and I also indicate how the objectives and methods in question changed as a result of distance teaching. I also focused on the effectiveness of distance lear-ning versus face-to-face instruction and the barriers to effective distance learning. As part of this, I also investigated the positives and negatives of distance learning. Lastly, I was interested in the impact that the respon-dents' experience of distance learning had on the future of face-to-face teaching of information technology and ICT. In the theoretical part I describe the teaching methods used in teaching informatics and ICT.
