Self-sufficiency and self-care when applying myoprothesis

Title: Self-sufficiency and self-care when applying myoprothesis Objectives: The main objective of this work is to present the theoretical summary of the amputation problematic, followed by the further prosthetic usage of myoprothesis and the principles of controlling the myoprothesis. Key is the methodical process of learning how to use myoprothesis, in terms of own self- sufficiency and self-care in the daily activities. Methods: I used the method of literary research in this work. I drew upon the knowledge gained throughout the study of available Czech and foreign technical literature, from internet sources and materials obtained in prosthetic companies, which I visited during my practical internships, mainly through the personal interviews and consultations with prosthetists and ergotherapists. Results: The results provide information on the issue of training activities of daily living with myoprothesis. Keywords: myoprothesis, self-sufficiency, self-care, grip, amputation, prothesis
