Opinions on the involvement of conditioning coaches in soccer

Title: Opinions on the involvement of conditioning coaches in soccer Objectives: The aim was to survey opinions involving fitness coaches in soccer and also study the role of fitness coach at selected soccer teams. To meet the main goals we have set a subpart of other goals such as assessing the current state of fitness coaches involved in the preparation of soccer teams in the Czech Republic on the basis of an anonymous survey and also compared with those in some European clubs. Another objective was to determine subpart views of soccer coaches in various competitions in fitness training and the possible inclusion of preparatory athletic exercises, the use of specific resources and training tools in fitness training. Methods: The information needed to achieve the objective of the thesis I received reading the literature. After the pilot survey was modified and standard questionnaire sent along with a cover letter first major coaches 1. Gambrinus league, 2. league coaches selected a lower division and youth coaches. Selected fitness coaches I first spoke by telephone and then sent them a questionnaire by e-mail. Then I made the evaluation questionnaires and obtained data were interpreted with brief comments. Student: Renata Kunrtová Supervisor: PhDr. Aleš Kaplan, Ph.D. Aims:Monitoring the level of engagement and use of the fitness coaches in training in women's football clubs of the Czech Republic (hereinafter CR), finding the form of their cooperation and also their specialization. Finally the aim of this work is to capture the approaches and consecutions of each coach to other characteristics of fitness training. Methodology:A non-standardized anonymous questionnaire was compiled to achieve the aims of the bachelor's thesis. Thereafter the pilot survey was realized. The questionnaire was sent to coaches from the first women's league, the second Czech women's football league, the third Czech women's football league and MSLŽ. The total amount of coaches was 45 and 16 of them participated in the survey. Results: Based on the surfy of the bachelor's thesis I found that the involvement of the fitness coaches in women's soccer training is rare. In monitored cases there was especially the external cooperation of the women's team with the fitness coach but only during a compilation of thein training plan or for players who are recovering. Title: Summarizing study about the role of fitness coach in football Objectives: The aim of this work is to create a proposal of a content of the educational programme "FAČR fitness coach". This educational programme will serve to definition of specialized capability of fitness coaches who cause in football and to determine their role and tasks in the scope of sport preparation football players. Methods: In our thesis we synthesized the results of the research of several research files and fields. We compiled and evaluated the questionnaire "The importance of fitness coach in the professional football", which we presented to the head coaches of the teams from 1. Gambrinus league. Results: The result of Our work is the proposal of the content of study programme "FAČR fitness coach". The content of this study programme was created on the basis of partial results of the research which are elaborately analysed in the relevant sections of this work. Title: Fitness preparation of youth in ice hockey Objective: The objective of this work was to examine the use of fitness preparation and the involvement of fitness coaches in youth categories of ice hockey clubs. In order to fulfill the objective of this work an anonymous questionnaire was created. The purpose of the questionnaire was to find the sources of information which coaches use to educate themselves and to find out how they approach the whole concept and content of fitness preparation. Methodology: This bachelor's thesis was designed as a quantitative research based primarily on a questionnaire with evaluation of the qualitative data. Non-standardized open and closed questions were used in the questionnaire. These questions were selected based on repeated consultations with experts in the field of pedagogy, methodology and ice hockey. The questionnaire together with an introductory explanation was sent to coaches of selected youth categories. These coaches were approached via email or telephone and were familiarized with how to correctly fill out the questionnaire. The acquired data were evaluated using descriptive statistics and qualitative evaluation. Title: The role of a conditioning coach in football teams U16, U17 and U19 Objective: The objective of my work was to examine the role of conditioning coaches and the extent to which they are involved in trainings of youth football teams U16, U17 and U19, which participate in the highest level of Czech football league for young people aged 16 to 19. In order to achieve the main objective of my work I have defined several minor goals, such as the usage of appropriate literature which deals with the issue of conditioning training for football teams. I also created and evaluated an anonymous questionnaire based on which I determined the extent to which conditioning coaches are involved in youth football teams as well as their role in these teams. In the above mentioned questionnaire, respondents were also specifying whether they use other sports or any supplementary tools during the training process. At the same time, I was comparing the results of my bachelor thesis with the work of Jiří Zemánek (2011), who was concerned with the involvement of conditioning coaches in adult football.
