This work introduces the area of lossless compression algorithms and aims to create a visualization of an algorithm that belongs to this category. The algorithm that was chosen for visualization purposes was an algorithm named Arithmetic coding and its visualization was implemented as a web application running inside a web browser.

The upcoming pages of this bachelor paper are dedicated to the issue of data backup and data protection in the environment of a household. The first part is focused on theory and explanation of the basic concept of data protection and data backup. Those concepts include basic types of backup, media and forms of backup application.
The second part aims for reviewing backup software and cloud storages by different criteria. Applications used in reviews will be running on the Windows 7 Home Premium operating system. At the end of the paper, there will be presented variations of backup procedures and possible economic savings achieved by data backup.

The Bachelor's thesis makes reader acquainted with the Internet and its history, creation of Web pages, the principle of proxy servers and related TCP/IP and HTTP protocols. The main goal is a design and follow-up implementation of the system - the Web proxy server that focuses on optimalization of Web pages as regards their size reduction with the posibility of setting individual optimalization parameters.

Optimalizace workflow grafika při úpravě standardních úloh pomoci současných grafických programů

This work focuses on the description and characteristics of common problems which graphic designers face daily when working for advertising agencies. This work describes tasks and organises them according to the type of graphic being processed and the types of output. In addition, this work describes the ways these common tasks can be completed using modern graphics editing software. It also provides a practical definition of a graphic designer and graphic agency. The aim of this work is to map out the fundamental tasks with raster graphics which graphic designers must perform most frequently during their work and to suggest an optimal workflow. As a result, after collating all of the proposed solutions, a manual should take form. It should help to facilitate early stages of work for students who may hold the position of junior graphic designer within advertising agencies.

This thesis is dealing with the description of properties for each loosy data compression format, their comparison in different encoding quality, internet radio streaming technology and its practical implementation. Main goal of this thesis is to make the further acquaintance of main encoding audio format theory, comparison of streaming commercial radios in Czech republic and also to expand the range of network services provided by University of Economics implementing streaming radio based on SHOUTcast technology.
