The theme of the bachelor´s dissertation is an analysis of selected types of investment (structured) certificates and the recommendation work out for business management of their practical use in particular situations. The theoretical part of dissertation delimit basic concepts related to investment certificates. In an analytical part is the chois performing and the analysis of selected investment certificates, followed a comparison of investment certificates and the recommendation is suggesting for corporate management.
Analysis of investment certificates on the Czech market

This bachelor's thesis deals with the subject of investment certificates. The first part of the thesis concentrates on characterising individual types of certificates and specifying risks that are related to these instruments. Information about legal regulation of investment certificates in the Czech Republic is provided here as well. In the second part of the thesis the offer of investment certificates by the Prague Stock Exchange is analyzed from various points of view.

Comparison of investment opportunities in mutual funds

This thesis deals with the comparison of selected mutual funds in the Czech Republic. The main aim of this thesis is to evaluate the situation on the securities market of mutual funds and help to the investor with right choice of mutual fund. Work is initially devoted to the characteristics and history of collective investment. The following section describes mutual funds their characteristics, classification, creation and termination. Conclusion of the theoretical part is devoted to investment certificates. In the practical part is first performed market analysis and obtained information about investment companies in the Czech Republic. Consequently are selected three largest investment companies of the capital market and selected one equity mutual fund and one bond mutual fund from each company. One chapter of the practical part is devoted to the influence of the financial crisis on collective investment and selected mutual funds. The last and most important part of this thesis is the comparison of selected mutual funds according to these criteria profitability, risk, total expense ratio, fees and the possibility of redemption of investment certificates. As the main data sources were used websites of investment companies, the Czech National Bank and Capital Market Association of the Czech Republic.
The analysis of investment certificates traded on the Czech market

This thesis deals with investment certificates traded on the Czech stock exchange. Firstly, the thesis introduces characteristic of basic types of investment certificates focusing on the certificates traded in the Czech Republic. The elementary features of their functions and their relations to the underlying assets are described. The profitability of each type of certificate is represented in the diagram for better comprehension. In the practical part, the investment certificates quoted on the Prague Stock Exchange are presented providing key characteristics as issue date, maturity date, issuer, subscription ratio and underlying asset. The last chapter is devoted to the profitability of particular certificates in comparison with each other and with alternative investment in underlying assets. Past experience with already paid certificates is also mentioned.
Derivatives in family finances

This thesis focuses on the derivatives market. The goal is to choose ones that are suitable for use for the benefit of family finances and planning. Mapping the world market derivatives, and then describes the basic characteristics of the main types of contracts. After the general characteristics of the derivatives in the introduction, are briefly described two types (forwads and swaps) that are not directly used in the family finances. In their description, however, are pointed out the fundamental principles of derivatives and trading with them. In the next section, the focus is on those derivatives that are suitable for use in household budgets. They include Futures, Options, Warrants, Investment Certificates, Exchange Traded Funds (ETF), Contracts for diference (CFD). There are also discussed basic principles of these instruments, their use and the current bid.
Use of financial derivatives in business

The paper shows the main possibilities of using financial derivatives in business with an emphasis on Czech corporate clients. It describes selected types of financial derivatives, such as forwards, futures, FRA, options, warrants and investment certificates. Based on practical examples, it shows the possibilities of using selected financial derivatives to hedge currency, interest rate and commodity risk, and also to evaluate funds of an entrepreneur. It also analyzes and compares individual possibilities and attempts to point out main advantages and disadvantages of using financial derivatives in practical business.
