Evaluation of information systems via fuzzy logic
Hubík, Antonín ; Václavík, Lukáš (referee) ; Janková, Zuzana (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with the application of fuzzy logic principles to evaluate properties of an information system. The practical problem being adressed is a facilitation of selection of a new HR/attendance system according to the needs of a specific mediumsized enterprise, using a custom-fitted fuzzy model design to compare available options. The design of the model is based on system requirements determined from a business analysis and is supported by key theory from the field of fuzzy logic and modelling. The proposed model is implemented in MS Excel and MATLAB environments. The implementations are demonstrated by evaluating five system options. Based on the results, one of the options is recommended for further consideration.
Evaluation of information systems via fuzzy logic
Příkaský, Martin ; Václavík, Lukáš (referee) ; Janková, Zuzana (advisor)
The topic of the thesis is the design and implementation of decision models for the evaluation of information systems with regard to the growing importance of the effective use of information resources in organizations. Within this thesis, these decision models are developed in MS Excel and MathWorks MATLAB environments and use fuzzy logic to account for the uncertainty and complexity of decision situations. The aim of this work is to provide Q2 Interactive with an effective tool for selecting an appropriate information system.
The Use of Artificial Intelligence on Financial Markets
Hortai, František ; Budík, Jan (referee) ; Dostál, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of a model for trading on financial markets by using artificial intelligence. The work describes some methods of artificial intelligence, description of financial market and stock market trading. The result of this work is a model of an expert system which uses fuzzy logic for investing and a functional model for predicting the course of shares trends using artificial neural networks. Both models algorithms were designed and tested in MATLAB.
Balanced Scorecard Implementation within Company Environment
Lojdová, Marie ; Bühn, František (referee) ; Dohnal, Mirko (advisor)
The master’s thesis deals with Balanced Scorecard implementation within a company environment. The object of the thesis is to increase the effectiveness of strategic management which can be achieved through proper implementation of the method. The theoretical section explains the basic concepts of strategic management, followed by the description of method BSC, its implementation and risks. The practical part is focused on creating a business strategy and the model BSC implementation in particular company. As an auxiliary tool for management decision making a fuzzy model was developed and then a dialogue is held with fuzzy expert system.
Counting People Using a PIR Sensor
Application of Fuzzy Logic for Evaluating Investments in Stock Markets
Kúdela, Lukáš ; Janková, Zuzana (referee) ; Dostál, Petr (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the principles of fuzzy logic and its practical application in the evaluation of individual passively managed ETFs as an investment option in the stock market. The model is composed of multivalued decision criteria that can be used to classify a given investment instrument. Based on the evaluation of the considered funds, these outputs will serve as a supporting tool in the further decision-making process. The processing of the model is realized in MS Excel program using VBA and in the MATLAB program.
Control of the reservoir storage function using artificial intelligence methods
Hon, Matěj ; BBA, Šárka Zemanová, (referee) ; Kozel, Tomáš (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with flow prediction using artificial intelligence to control the storage function of the reservoir. It focuses on the control of storage function using combination of dispatching graphs and flow prediction. The work is divided into a methodological part and an application part. The methodological part contain describes how the acquisition of historical data, a description of the work of dispatching graphs and forecasting models. The application part contains flow forecasts and outflow control. A prediction model is based on the fuzzy method, and it is used to predict inflows. The calibration and validation of the prediction model is also described. Results of prediction model were evaluated. In next step the results of control method were evaluated and compared with result of dispatching graphs. The results of controlled method were satisfactory.
The Use of Artificial Intelligence on Stock Market
Kudelás, Stanislav ; Matyáš, Radko (referee) ; Dostál, Petr (advisor)
The diploma thesis focuses on specification of model for trading support. It points to the possible use of artificial intelligence tools. It contains suggestion of model for trading support using artificial intelligence.
The Application of Evaluation for Rating of Suppliers for the Firm
Minár, Lukáš ; Straňák, Peter (referee) ; Dostál, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on the evaluation of suppliers the selection of the best one for company Fast & Healthy food services, s.r.o. This work describes methods and the process of model creation using fuzzy logic. The aim is to establish two decision models, a model created in MS Excel and a model created in MATLAB which simplify the selection of the supplier.
The Application of Evaluation for Rating of Suppliers for the Firm
Ševčík, Andrej ; Pekárek, Jan (referee) ; Dostál, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design of fuzzy models to support decision making for selecting the most suitable suppliers for PSL, a.s. Describes methods and procedures for modeling in MS Excel and MATLAB. The goal is to create a decision-making system that will evaluate suppliers to optimize the choice of the most suitable supplier based on the requirements of the selected company.
