Application for Modern Sports Training Utilising the Sensory Data and Positional System

Práce se zabývá tvorbou webové aplikace pro moderní sportovní trénink. Aplikace využívá poziční data a data tepové frekvence ze systému určování polohy v reálném čase. Hlavním cílem je návrh a tvorba systému, který tato data v reálném čase zpracovává a umožňuje trenérům jejich vizualizaci a správu. Úvodní část shrnuje základní principy tvorby uživatelského rozhraní, dále se věnuje výzkumným metodám pro sběr uživatelských požadavků. V navazujícím textu jsou popsány postupy návrhu webových aplikací a jejich tvorby. Následně se práce věnuje testování návrhů aplikace. Praktická část sestává z průzkumu pozičního systému, sběru požadavků koncových uživatelů, návrhu uživatelského rozhraní aplikace, jeho realizace a následného testování. Práce je zakončena zhodnocením systému společně s nápady na jeho rozšíření do budoucna.

Web App for Q-Sorting

The aim of my bachelor's thesis was to become familiar with the Q-methodology and create a web application for conducting research according to this method. The work includes a complete report on the technologies used and the overall implementation of the web application. I focused mainly on the user interface and ease of handling the application for the respondents. Thanks to this application, the client is able to carry out his own research and the respondents of the research are provided with user interface that is very intuitive and easy to use.

Possibilities of using SVG in web design

The goal of the thesis is to introduce possibilities of SVG (Scalable Vector Gra- phics) in web design. SVG is a scalable vector graphic format which didn't find application on the web for a long time due to poor support in older versions of Microsoft Explorer. Nowadays, it is finally possible to fully benefit advantages of SVG in front-end web design, e.g. independence on a screen resolution (espe- cially with wide-spread Retina displays), resizing without visual quality loss, machine readability of embedded text content, and most importantly small file size. These features allowed SVG to be recognized as an HTML5 family member. Author of the thesis will focus on methods of bringing SVG to web design, including methods of generating PNG alternatives and variants of SVG inclusion into web page code. The foundation of the thesis will be a web page presentation, which will demonstrate use of SVG on text (fillings, gradients, filters, and animations), images (cropping and filters), animations of checkbo- xes and icons, animated interactions with form inputs and buttons, animated transitions, banners and maps with animated paths, etc. The presentation will emphasize advantages of used techniques in comparison with traditional bitmap graphics.

Application of the principles and methodologies of web design in practice

In this diploma thesis the author wrote up actual theoretical basis, which every participant of the front-end development process of web-design should stick. There are categorization of websites, generalization of key-successful-web attributes and performance of two chosen design methodologies which are contained in the related part. In the practical part the author applied acquired knowledge on the real business subject especially by methodology combining. The prototype as a result is compiled from logical design series supported by research. There is a graphical design of home page also completing the whole result.
