Evolution of link layer loop prevention protocols
Březina, Jiří ; Frolka, Jakub (referee) ; Slavíček, Karel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the possibility of eliminating and creation loops on theData Link layer of the OSI model. At first, it was necessary to determine what arethe loops and how they are formed. Then the solution of the problem with loops waspresented as the Spanning Tree protocol, where did the protocol come from, protocoloperation, his advantages and disadvantages. In next section were discussed other vari-ants of original STP, as well as his alternatives, like for example the TRILL or the SPBprotocol. The practical part of this work is based on the theoretical and shows howSpanning Tree protocols work in practice on real devices. This part is mainly focusedto testing the speed of convergence each of protocols and also their extensions. In theend is mentioned a laboratory task, which is part of the appendices and forms the mainbenefit of the whole thesis, because future students at school subject “network architec-ture” can try to configure protocols that was mentioned above and better understandhow these protocols work.
Modelling of L2 Loop-Preventing Protocols
Hrnčiřík, Matej ; Grégr, Matěj (referee) ; Veselý, Vladimír (advisor)
This thesis informs about currently used technologies, which provide loop protection on data link layer of computer networks. It clarifies issues of Ethernet networks. Chosen protocols are then closely described. There are presented advantages and disadvantages of chosen protocols and they are compared to other technologies. Practical section describes the initial implementation of IS-IS in OMNeT++ environment, which serves as the basic building block of TRILL protocol. An important issue is to verify correctness of implementation.
Modelling IS-IS and TRILL
Marek, Marcel ; Grégr, Matěj (referee) ; Veselý, Vladimír (advisor)
In this thesis, we describe the principles of IS-IS routing protocol. We introduce the current state of implementation of this protocol within the simulation framework OMNeT++. We present the implementation of the IS-IS protocol created within the ANSA project. Moreover, we employ its variant called TRILL that is nowadays deployed as replacement of STP in data-center environment. The aim is to enable the modelling of the protocols without the need having to build physical architecture.
Design of reliable VLAN-based enterprise data nework
Vrablic, Pavol ; Krkoš, Radko (referee) ; Novotný, Vít (advisor)
The main aim of this work is to identify the potential issues within a robust network to provide a highly reliable and fault free service – with a smooth and reliable functionality of critical services. This work contains new methods of branch networking and virtualization that is increasingly used in enterprise networks. It is important to note that computer clustering provides the functionality of critical services that can surpass potential partial failures and network QoS; which overall, achieves a high quality and reliable service.
New trends in data network design

are used. In the theoretical part I analyse some basic network protocols and their gradual development, VLANs and Spanning Tree Protocol, MPLS protocol and other. There are described parameters for the design of new networks and the models networks and their various are used, the network with a new architecture and a software-defined network (SDN),too. The practical part deals with designed laboratory exercises for teaching students. The laboratory experiments are always divided into several tasks. They are formed even students ignorant or less familiar with the issue could configure and test it.

Variability of specific structures Tree Pipit
Kozlová, Zuzana ; Petrusková, Tereza (advisor) ; Musilová, Zuzana (referee)
Primary function of birdsong is for territorial defense or attraction of females. Birdsong also contains much more other information and can be used to inform males and females about quality of singing bird. It was demonstrated, that for different bird species condition of male correlates with what structures of birdsong are produced. More complex structures are produced by superior males. Females of some species prefer males with ability to produce more complex structures. This work deals with structures of singing of the tree pipit species (Anthus trivialis). These structures are also known as trills. It is assumed, that trills may contain some information about quality of male, which can be evaluated by males and females. Birdsong of tree pipit contains two types of trills - loud and soft. Loud trills are used in aggressive interactions between two males. Soft trills are not used in aggresive context and they differ in consistency - regularity, that can be expressed as tempo of trill. When measuring tempo of trills for every tree pipit male, the tempo is different among males and also correlates with their ability to maintain stable territory over the entire nestling season. Males with faster (more consistent) tempo of trill had stable territory, while males with slower (irregular) tempo of...
