The world, and the European continent in particular, is getting older by the year. In the future, the number of older people will form an increasing part of society, facing many challenges as a result of emerging social imbalances. The pressure on young people will be enormous. It is up to us to analyze and prepare for the society of the elderly. One of the main challenges society will face is the growth of diseases linked to older age. One of the most common diseases of older people is dementia. Dementia is a group of diseases associated with impairment of brain function and ability to perform daily functions. The graduate work in the analytical part maps the causes, symptoms and treatment methods of dementia and its influence on the architectural solution. The outputs from the analytical part will be applied in a specific architectural project.
Age Management in Residential Social Services

The aim of the diploma thesis was to find out how age management is implemented in residential social services in the district of Jindřichův Hradec from the point of view of management and control of residential social services. The first partial objective was to find out the experience from the point of view of the management of residential social services with the implementation of age management. The second partial objective was to find out what procedures residential social services have in the context of age management. The third partial objective was to find out whether and how do the residential social services work with the Work Ability Index. The research part was carried out on the basis of a qualitative research strategy. The method of questioning and the technique of semi-structured interview were used. The data were processed using open coding and thematic analysis. The informants were selected on the basis of a total selection through institutions. The research sample consisted of 7 informants, who were managers of residential social services. The research has found that only elements of age management are used in residential social services, not the whole concept. The managers have experience with only certain elements and it has been shown that they are often not sufficiently informed about age management. However, many different procedures are implemented in the addressed organizations that are a part of age management, even if the managers are not aware that these are parts of age management. Unfortunately, none of the organizations uses the Work Ability Index tool. This diploma thesis can be beneficial for students of social services management and managers of residential social services, to whom it provides inspiration and insight on the use of age management elements in residential social services.
The importance of Co-Housing for seniors in terms of human dignity and quality of life.

Thesis engages in with the concept of cohousing and examines the influences of this form of housing arrangement on individuals' assessment of their own dignity and quality of life. The aim of the thesis is to introduce the concept of cohousing and, through qualitative research, to present the influences of this alternative form of senior living on the assessment of one's human dignity and quality of life. The work thoroughly analyzes the theoretical background of the concept, and subsequently provides an overview of the specifics of the target group of seniors. Furthermore, possible perspectives in the concept of human dignity and quality of life are presented. The final section of the thesis comprises the research proces, which, through the narratives of respondents residing in cohousing, presents specific ways in which this form of living can influence human dignity and quality of life.
Elderly driver as a traffic risc personality

The goal of this thesis is to determine the current risk factors for individuals who are 65 years or older and using public transportation. The theoretical portion contains comments from literary sources which deal with transportation phychology with a focus on lower the cognitive abilities and psycho-motor skills and their effect as Well as the assistance features of cars. The analytical portion describes the future development of an aging population, ratings of statistics showing the accident proneness of senior citizens, examples of accidents, and casuistry from transport psychologist workplace. An analysis of the results from measuring reaction time of seniors and to compare it with younger generations. The final portion is dedicated to solutions that may be able to contribute to lower the number of accidents involving seniors of public transportation grounds.

The world population is aging. Countries that do not want to face the negative economic consequences of the aging of their population need to address this trend. One of the ways to use the potential of employees of all age categories, to extend their time spent on the labor market in good health and at a high standard of living, and at the same time maintain the company's productivity, is to use the concept of age management. The aim of this thesis was to identify tools from the age management concept, currently applied by a specific company for the long-term integration of employees aged 50+, to evaluate the success of their application and to suggest possible improvements. The analysis was conducted in the form of a survey questionnaire amongst the company's employees and a semi-structured interview with the HR department employee of the same company. In the conclusion, recommendations are formulated which the company can implement to increase the satisfaction of employees aged 50+ while simultaneously maintaining or increasing its productivity.
Age management ve stavebnictví ve vybraném regionu

The aim of this diploma thesis is to propose recommendations for effective application of age management in construction companies in the South Moravian Region. The combination of qualitative and quantitative research was used to achieve the aim of the thesis. In qualitative research, 8 semi-structured interviews took place from which MAXMaps were created. Quantitative research consisted of a questionnaire survey (n=84) and a subsequent statistical analysis of the data obtained. On the basis of the data obtained, recommendations for effective application of age management in construction in the South Moravian Region have been created regarding the ergonomics of work, the development of intergenerational cooperation, the support and promotion of the physical fitness of employees and flexible forms of work.
Tourism and current Demographic Trends

The thesis focuses on tourism and current demographic trends. The main aim is to analyse the current situation of the ageing population and to explain why tourism is important for the country's economy. The approach of the Czech Republic and other selected European countries, namely Finland, Italy and Scotland, is compared. Using a questionnaire survey, unstructured interviews and informations from official sources of each country, case studies were developed and finally the approach of each country to the issue under study was evaluated.

The diploma thesis is focused on the introduction of the concepts of demography, innovation and Industry 4.0, which form the theoretical basis for the practical part. The aim of the diploma thesis is to assess the economic impacts of the demographic transition of aging in the Czech Republic in a selected company. For a comprehensive understanding of the practical part, partial factors that influenced corporate decisions with an appeal to the personnel, investment, innovation and economic activities of the company's policy are addressed. All the information obtained will then make it possible to propose measures to improve the future thinking of the company.
