Ni sensors to Ethernet convertor

This work deals with hardware and software solution for the temperature converter of the standard rezistance temperature Ni sensors with the output through the Ethernet, driven by the Rabbit microcontroller. First part of this thesis deals with the theory of the temperature measurement. There are introduced basic principles of the temperature sensors. In the next part of the work are introduced communication standard and application protocol Modbus. The rest of the work deals with the hardware concept of the converter, the control program of the converter and the program developed for the PC.

Loop Powered Field Instrument with HART Interface

This diploma thesis describes design and development of creating field instrument demonstration kit. Kit is capable of measuring multiple sensors such as thermocouples, RTDs, or pressure sensors, analogue sensor simulation is also provided. Sensor’s side is isolated from output, which is composed of 4 - 20 mA current loop and HART interface. Current loop also provides power supply and kit can communicate via HART also when alarm current (3,2 mA) is set. Basic safety features like open wire detection, over and undervoltage protection are also implemented.

Telemetric temperature measurement

This thesis is concerned on making project of temperature measuring system in cryochamber with an accuracy of ±2°C. The project consists of selection of suitable sensor, competent measuring circuit, A/D converter and display. The last section consists of project of heating circuit.
