Methodology for setting firewall rules

This diploma thesis focuses on explaining the concept of firewalls, and especially next-generation firewalls. It introduces their specific representative Barracuda CloudGen Firewall, project management and technologies such as Python and RESTful API. Based on these findings it creates an implementation proposal for migrating and creating firewall policies on Barracuda CloudGen Firewall in COMGUARD a.s.

The bachelors thesis aims to study the issue of security of the networks that use firewalls. The next goal is to evaluate the characteristics of a different types of firewalls and to summarize its results. The other object is to design a small or medium sized network with description of best practice. The main objective of the thesis is to design a lecture task for students to test with a step-by-step solution. This task is for students to undertand the importance of firewalls as a network protection service tools and to try out different types of filters for maintainin network security. The task ends with a practical stress test made by a network attack in order to see its resistance to the attack.
The genesis and development of the B-737

The present bachelor thesis deals with the genesis and development of the jet airliner B-737. It describes the historical background and context of the creation, subsequently it describes development of different generations of the airplane. Each generation is discussed in separate chapter which includes chronological list of all its types, their brief description and it states differences from their predecessors. A short chapter is dedicated to brief development of technical handling. The conclusion consists of concise recapitulation together with an assessment why B-737 has become one of the best-selling jet aircraft in the history of civil aviation.
