Music therapy as a support for student with Down syndrome

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá úlohou muzikoterapie, jako podpůrného prostředku pro člověka, který potřebuje pomoc na cestě životem. Popisuje průběh a vývoj jednotlivých muzikoterapeutických setkání, jejich dopad na klienta při uvědomování si vlastních hodnot a jejich transformaci do osobního a studentského života. Práce byla vypracována na základě vývoje kazuistiky v čase, rozhovorů a reflexe celé práce. The work was developed based on the development of case reports in time, interviews and reflection of the whole work. Music Therapy and use for disabled children

The thesis contains a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part deals with a concept and a definition of music therapy, history, aims, methods of music therapy and also organisations where music therapy is done. The thesis deals with connection of music therapy and children with disabilities. The topic of disability is described in several categories. It lists the types of disabilities, connection between disabled children and music therapy. It also deals with a funcion of a music therapist and it inroduces different therapists who work with us. The practical part contains my personal project, which consists of 3 lesson in length of 45 minutes each. I took advantage of the fact that in my surrounding there is a disabled child and I organized lessons of music therapy with him.
Music Therapy Practices in Gerontology

The theme of this diploma thesis, as the title suggests, is the use of music therapy in gerontological practice. More specifically the thesis is focused on the use of appropriate music therapy techniques with clients of the Seniors' Home Panorama in Tachov. The theoretical part characterizes the field of music therapy, its history and presentsituation in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, the reader is informed about the forms, methods and techniques of music therapy. Another part of the thesis briefly introduces the issue of old age. It deals with manifestations of old age, demographic issues or the senior care in the Czech Republic. The empirical part of the thesis is already devoted to the practical use of music therapy during work with the elderly. In the introduction, the objectives of the work are defined in relation to the target group of clients. By using the method of unstructured observation, it is determined whether the music therapy techniques fulfil predetermined goals. At the end of the work there is the evaluation of contribution of music therapy to this field.

The effect of music therapy on slep disorders

In my work I study the influence of music therapy on sleep disorders. The aim of the work is to verify whethee the method could be helpful for the patients who contact doctors regarding this issue for long time. In the theoretical part I draw information from the knowledge about the music influence to the mental state of mind. In the practical part I focus on the experimental research which deals with application of music therapy project on the chosen patients suffering one the sleeping disorders.
Differences in the Perception of Relaxing Music with Phono-therapeutic Elements for Various Age Categories

The paper deals with the issues of music therapy. Most of all i tis focused on relaxation music and its techniques including sonotherapy. The theoretical part is focused on the general description of music therapy, its signifikance, classification and history. In the sekond charter relaxation and various relaxation technigues are presented. The third charter deals with sonotherapy, its signifikance and people who are concerned with this topic. In the practical part I Worked on experimental research applied on 60 people dividend in three groups according to thein age. I analysed differences in the influence of the therapy on these participants and the course of the therapy itself. I defined two theories that were deeply described on the basis of the collected information. Knowing the course of the therapy by every participant I formed a proposal of music-sonotherapy receptive program used by chosen are group.
Relaxing and Stimulating Effects of Music and Dance Therapy for Children.

Bachelor thesis of "Relaxing and Stimulating Effects of Music and Dance Therapy of Children" has a theoretical and empirical character. The theoretical part deals with musictherapy, its relevance, its historic look, personality types, music therapist and other kinds of expressive therapies, which are related to music-therapy. The next chapter of the bachelor thesis is focused on relaxation, in conjunction with the relaxing effects of the music, that works on the mental and physical health of a person. The chapter about a stimulation is linked to child's play and stimulation effects of music, which also operates on the mental and physical health of a person. In the last issue of the theoretical part is illustrated in dance therapy, which emphasizes the connectedness assumption of the body and mind. The practical part is focused on experimental investigations related with the application of music-dancetherapy program for discharging children. The results of the investigation have proved the feasibility of the music-dancetherapy program for selected children's groups.
Relaxation and Meditation with Music

The thesis introduces an importance of a mental hygiene and its chosen methods - relaxation and meditation with music. The theoretical part is focused on a description of the basic relaxation and meditation techniques and curative effects of music. It deals with a music therapy, its meaning, types, methods and history in terms of the importance of music healing relaxation effects on the mental, physical as well as spiritual health. The practical part includes a usage of these methods in practice with five different age therapeutic groups; it observes and evaluates changes of the psychological and physical conditions after performed therapies. In order to create a receptive program for an individual and group education a questionnaire survey was conducted on an effect of the performed therapy. The survey showed that the relaxation and meditation with music is an effective psychotherapeutic mean to induce a mental balance of a man.
