Optimized Video Streaming on Android Platform
Spurný, František ; Ščuglík, František (referee) ; Veselý, Vladimír (advisor)
The subject of this term project is the analysis and description of possibilities in video streaming optimization, and the design of a client/server application to implement optimized video streaming in practice. The client side of the application is realized with a mobileapplication for the Android platform, which in addition to video streaming implements the functionality of a file manager over directories and files saved in the cloud.
Multimedia Player for Android
Benedikt, Jan ; Číka, Petr (referee) ; Grabovský, Štěpán (advisor)
This thesis aims to create an advanced multimedia player with support of an adaptive stream, securing of the multimedia content and support for playing advertisement. The first part explains the used technologies followed by an analysis of available solutions and the comparison between the two. The theoretical framework is then used to create a player library and a testing application. The player library is based on the framework of ExoPlayer application. Whole application is created in Java for the operation system Android OS.
Stress Testing of Video Streaming Services
Kříž, Petr ; Ilgner, Petr (referee) ; Číka, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the load testing of services for adaptive streaming of multimedia content. The thesis starts with a theoretical discussion of load testing and standards for adaptive streaming. The practical part deals with the creation of scenarios for load testing the created streaming server. Finally, graphs are prepared including commenting on the testing result.
Model of HTTP adaptive video streaming
Kasianenko, Dmytro ; Prokopec, Jan (referee) ; Slanina, Martin (advisor)
Key tasks of this work are to create the simulation of a wireless network in ns-3 and to stream a video over this network by using MPEG-DASH technology. It describes the tools and methods how to encode a video according to MPEG-DASH. It is explained what is needed to run video server, which uses MPEG-DASH technology to stream videos. Then, it is described how a simulation of wired and wireless WiFi and LTE networks is created. The simulation starts a server and shows how it works, how many nodes can be used and chooses suitable segment duration.
Video Format Support in Browsers and Possibility of Security Against Piracy
Bujok, Boris ; Kratochvíl, Martin (referee) ; Luhan, Jan (advisor)
The work deals with distribution primarily video content on the web and the possibilities of its security. The goal of thesis is to explore and summarize this comprehensive subject. The first part covers the basics of distribution, delivery methods, protocols, video formats. The second part deals with technologies that are commonly used on the Web and their comparison in different browsers or on mobile platforms. Including a look into the future, where these technologies would might take in relation to the development of a planned support, either in the browser or on mobile platforms.
