Nutrition of seniors in selected facilities of the social services of the Hradec Kralove Region

The thesis deals with seniors' diet in selected social services facilities of the Kralovehradecky region. The main aim of this project is to establish what kind of diet from a quantitative and qualitative point of view is served to the clients of these social services facilities. This was accomplished by collecting and subsequently analyzing in the lab all meals served daily for the duration of 7 days. Furthermore, there was an evaluation of the variety of food conducted. This evaluation was accomplished by observing the menu for a period of one month. Points were awarded only for non-repetitive foods and meals. The evaluation was based on the dietary diversity coefficient. This Diploma project also deals with clients' actual consumption of the served food in social services facilities. There was a client survey conducted, namely, the Mini Nutritional Assessment short form. This was done along with recording the clients' physical activity. It is divided into the theoretical and the practical part. In the theoretical part is mainly characterized the term "guide" as a kind of publications, there are indicated its linguistic unusualnesses, the guide types are underlined and characterized. The practical part serves as a guide to Dvur Kralove nad Labem and its surroundings. It also includes the evaluation of the questionnaire investigation among visitors of the city and its surroundings. The useful links are included as appendixes.

Sustainable development of tourism in Královéhradecký region

The aim of the Diploma thesis is to evaluate the situation of the sustainable development of tourism in Královéhradecký region and to suggest provision in to the future. The theoretical part introduces basic information about this issue. The term "sustainable development of tourism" is explained here, the forms of "green" tourism are introduced and also selected indicators of sustainable development of tourism are described here. The practical part uses knowledges obtained from the theoretical part and offers a practical view of the topic. The main aim of this part is to analyze the sustainable development of tourism in Královéhradecký region and to comment on the results of such analysis. To achieve this goal, the thesis uses result of questionare survey, in which both public and private sector and also both participants of tourism and residents of the examined region took part. For the description of sustainable development in Královéhradecký region were also used several relevant indicators of sustainable development of tourism.

The theoretical part includes a description of geographical, socio and economical conditions and contemporary supply. The practical part evaluates tourist visit rate. The aim of the bachelor thesis is the evaluation of town's status on the tourist market, promotion and competitiveness.
