Controlled analog frequency filters
Martinek, Pavel ; Koton, Jaroslav (referee) ; Minarčík, Martin (advisor)
In this bachelor’s thesis are described elements frequency filters, especially OTA amplifier, current and voltage conveyor. There're presented possibilities of control frequency-selection filters and components to control, analog multipliers, DA converters, controlled amplifiers and digitally controlled potentiometers. There are discussed some circuits of controlled filters and their possibilities of independent control of parameters f0, Q. Frequency characteristics for mentioned filters are verified simulator programme. The circuits are modified to other type filter and again frequency charakterestics are verified simulator programme PsPice.
Production shifting from China to Vietnam: Implications for Global Value Chains
Maderová, Karolína ; Semerák, Vilém (advisor) ; Vacek, Pavel (referee)
This thesis analyzes the importance of China within the global economy and assesses the potential of Vietnam to serve as its replacement, or at least for some industries. Using the network analysis and the hypothetical extraction method (HEM), the most influential sectors of the Chinese economy were identified and an increasing trend of reliance of the Westen countries on China's supply and demand was found. Next, using the trade decomposition method, the participation in GVC for Vietnam and China was calculated. Although Vietnam is increasing its participation and other countries are increasing their demand for inputs from Vietnam, based on the available data, it was not possible to determine whether these changes could mean that Vietnam can replace China in the future. JEL Classification C67, D57, F18, F52 Keywords Input-output model, HEM, network analysis, GVC Title Production shifting from China to Vietnam: Implications for Global Value Chains
The economic role of the state in globalized economy
Juřík, Richard ; Bažantová, Ilona (advisor) ; Seknička, Pavel (referee)
in English This diploma thesis encompasses the idea of the economic role of a state in relation to trends of globalization applying political science, political economy and economic geography. The idea goes on by progressively defined conceptions of societal institutions - the concept of a state and political nation on basis of the social contract, the conception of the fair society on basis of the work called Justice as Fairness by John Rawls, conception of globalization in terms of its trends in the area of changing division of work and rising income inequality, and conception of the character of changing roles of a state in relation to globalization and economy. Reference state is a small, internationaly opened, democratic and developed society, which holds western values and norms. It is assumed that in such society individuals pursue their own happiness as a notion of good life. In this aspect Justice as Fairness theory was chosen as a framework for society of equal citizens where economic transactions are considered fair and everybody is given the chance to pursue their own vision of their lives and such state of society shall remain preserved in time. Two main economic roles of a state are concluded by the analysis of consequences of chosen trends of globalization in relation to the...
Value Added in the Global Value Chains in the Automotive Industry in Slovakia
Pravda, Matúš ; Semerák, Vilém (advisor) ; Hayat, Arshad (referee)
The thesis provides a detailed decomposition of Slovak bilateral exports in the automotive industry and shows the development of global value chains participation in the scope of the Visegrad group. The first part, bilateral sectoral decomposition, examines shares of the domestic & foreign value added components as well as a double-counted term in Slovak exports to the global biggest economies. Moreover, it determines the origin of the foreign value added embodied in Slovak exports and final destinations, where the Slovak value added is absorbed. The second part determines to what extent is Slovakia participating in global value chains as well as Czechia, Poland and Hungary. The results obtained from this decomposition showcased a decreasing share of the domestic value added, which is caused to some extent by integration into these value chains as well as the character of Slovak production specialisation. Data series provided proof of a long-term trend.
